Found a used G29 and made a seat/stand for it out of random left over wood from various projects and an old computer chair. Not the prettiest of setups but works perfectly, not it's just a matter of figuring out setting so I can actually control the vehicles again!
As someone who is pretty new to race games but starting to put some time into them with all of my new found free time I will say that the wheel is a huge adjustment that is a mix of frustration and fun. It vastly different to figure out the wheel and get it setup and tweaked so it's usable but once it gets dialed in it's an absolute blast.
Pic of homemade stand/chair. Removed two of the wheels from the chair so it clips into the stand so there is zero slip in the setup. Will probably get around to painting it soon so it looks a little less ghetto.

@fleuryisgod thats a Saskie Rig!! Nice work and welcome to the newbie e-racing adventure. Lol...I just got my rig setup last week. The wheel, at least for me, makes it infinitely more enjoyable than on a controller.
Working my way through F1 2019 first season. Just wrapped up Singapore. I have progressed to having the traction assist on low, braking on medium, just bumped AI to 50, and full force feedback. Was qualifying about 4s faster than the computer racers with AI at 40.
I've done the time trials at a few tracks and GODDAMN are the top guys fast. They are about 6s ahead of me and I have zero idea where they can find the time. I am guessing that they are just smashing the kerbs but still...I was impressed. I have been typically running about 0.5-1.0s behind the 15,000 ranked PS4 player. Lol.
I watched the Australian e-racing F1 race on Sunday. Was kind of fun to watch and you get alot of good pointers on lines from watching them race. I was definitely braking too hard and turning in too late. Correcting that (or trying too as I dive bomb Bottas) made a massive in lap times and car control.

Meh - you guys with your 2x4 sim setups... Jacques Villeneuve finished 6th in a "Legends Trophy" race using nothing but an Xbox Controller. Winner was some hack named Button....
When is Max going to get in on the eSports F1 Races??
He was signed up to do the first F1 esport race but dropped out. I was watching Norris' twitch stream and he called him. He basically said he practiced but he sucked at it. I feel he isn't into the online racing like some of his peers.
He always wanted to be out on the kart track from my understanding.
