I think the whole organization needs an enema. We can blame Sutter, and he’s not free of blame, but it starts at the top.

Send Darryl back to the farm, let Treliving go to Toronto, overhaul the scouting department, and get some fresh eyes in here.

Sell what you can over the next two years. Lots of good assets to cash in on. Get a vision for the future and stick to it. If you have a good year earlier than expected don’t get excited. Stick to a plan. This “we just need to get in” mentality the organization has had for 30 years is BS.

Wouldn't change a single thing on this team. You think Sutter is telling Vladar and Markstrom to let in muffins? You think he's telling the D to stare aimlessly at the ceiling as the opposing team skates circles around them? This is just a bad, horrible, no good team.

The west is incredibly bad this year and if by some miracle the Flames fluke their way into the playoffs, they will last, at best, 5 games before being easily dispatched by literally any other Western team. I'd put money on SJ before I'd bet on this group of losers to do any damage.

The likelihood that the Flames make the right decisions at the deadline are close to zero so I agree with you. Of course you make the right trades and you can save more money than you would ever make net even if miraculously they got 2 playoff games. But it is not about dollars and sense, it is about making mind numbingly dumb hockey decisions.
