From the ASB to the end of the RS last year, Gaudreau was flatout excellent even with Monahan and Lindholm fading hard. He didn't have the best playoffs but that was a theme teamwide.

This GT is embarrassing, shots are 22-5 halfway in the game, with one goal on a fluke own goal, with the Flames still first in the pacific on the last game of an eastern road trip and before the all-star game.

Here’s my mindset.

The Flames will have great difficulty making the playoffs, should Johnny continue to play well below the level of a “star player”.

Hence the criticism. Needs to be more involved and less extreme perimeter, with much improvement on his work ethic and compete level.
