Well, Vasek has forced a fourth set against Cilic after losing the first two sets by identical 6-2 6-2 scores. The crowd is definitely in his corner.

Cilic wins in four sets (fourth set went to a tie-breaker), but Vasek played great. Saved five match points and almost took Cilic to the limit.

A few late results coming in. In a titanic battle of qualifiers, Casper Ruud outlasts Quentin Halys to the score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-7, 7-5, 11-9.

And another late result has Joao Sousa barely get past qualifier Dustin Brown 6-3, 6-4, 4-6, 6-7, 6-1, avenging his loss to Brown during Wimbledon 1st round last year.

And finally, we have Jo-Willy Tsonga seeing off American qualifier Kevin King 6-4, 6-4, 6-1.
Tsonga will face our beloved Denis Shapovalov next round.

This was actually one of his cleanest matches since last fall. He'll need more of the same tomorrow against Tsonga, who looks like he's sorted his game out once again.

Asides from Sock, who I actually enjoy, I couldn't be happier to see all these Americans dropping like flies early.

Yo Canada: Swashbuckling @denis_shapo flying start to @AusOpen - wind blown whipping of fellow teen Tsitsipas. Too much to ask tennis Gods for Shapo-Kyrgios 3rd rounder?! Sign me up. @bgtennisnation
Denis will have to play very well to get by Jo-Willy Tsonga first.

First match to be sure, but Milos has looked very sluggish so far and he does not look particularly fit. With the heat only suppose to increase, tough to see him doing much in this tournament.
