Last year it was easy to make a decision to shorten the bench because we had players like Johnny and Tkachuk that could actually do something with more ice time. The fourth line is just as useless as any other line tonight so why bother.

Yikes. I’m glad I missed this one. I’d say it’s probably safe to just write this season off at this point and start thinking about how we can make this team more competitive next year. This year’s squad clearly doesn’t have it. And they really haven’t been fun to watch at all.
