It really depends for me on where other pieces fall on if I would want him back. Definitely not interested until we see who goes where on free agency day. There are a handful of guys I would rather have but if we miss on all of them then I am not opposed to circling back to him if the money makes sense.

I think Gus is a decent player and could qb the PP (first or second unit), but he ain't getting paid based on his 60pt year, which looks to be an aberration...

Agreed with sticking to the offer they believe is fair...

also agree that they need to sign Brodie

2.5-3.0 AAV max for me from the Flames

Guy is really good on the PP...he had 60 points last season and 29 in a shortened season this past year. Those are great numbers for a Dman he will get offers likely over 3M

The numbers he showed with the Flames were pretty good though. I believe in the 7 regular season games after he showed up the Flames were firing on the PP at over 40%. And the PP in the playoffs was a strong point. I think there is a valuable spot for him on this team.
