Default BBQ10 vs Z10 vs Iphone 5c

Have 24 hours to pick.

Upside of the BB: keyboard (if Q10), don't have to use a FOB to access work intranet, and whatever else (not sure)

Upside of iphone 5c: I don't know, never used an iphone, but the #1 upside is perhaps that it's not a BB.

I've got 24 hours to decide and then my work needs an answer. Short time frame for such a huge commitment (18 months).

Thanks!

Considering your options I'd go with the iPhone. At least Apple has a good chance of being around for longer than the term of your ownership.

If this is purely a workphone, I'd still go with something like the Q10 for ease of communication. Having everything in the Hub and instead of separate apps is one thing I'm envious that BB10 has.

If for work go with BB.

If you want apps/customize etc go with Droid.

I use my Android for work. I have 7 email addresses coming to it and access to all my docs (via Google Drive).

iPhone 5C. My company is in the process of switching from BB to Apple. Apple is dominating the workplace mobile market with the iPhone and iPad.

Kind of depends on your company's management of the iphone. From what you mentioned, it sounds a little painful. I am an Android guy, but have a BB for work that is just fine for that purpose. From what I've seen of our containerized iPhone implementation, it is really frustrating from a user perspective. BB may not survive 18 months, but I guess you don't need to worry about that, since your company would have to keep you in a phone that works??

Thanks everyone,
So far 4 for BB
2 for iphone
and 2 for android phones (which weren't an option).

Yes, if BB goes under I'd assume we'd be switching every employee to new phones. So while support and apps/etc are a concern for the BB the actual "ceasing to exist" isn't so much a concern. Apparently in a year and a half or so we'll have support for android phones, and that's my refresh period, so I'll probably go android by that time.

As far as full touchscreen vs keyboard. I haven't used a new bb touchscreen keyboard, but I know I type a lot faster with the modern smart touchscreen keyboards (that I assume BB is now competent in that area) than I do on my physical BB keyboard.

Do you open attachments?

If you do don't go blackberry, the management and view for excel docs and PDFs is terrible. We use blackberries at work and I send emails with attachments to my personal phone so I can actually read them.

Which BB have you been using? The current BB10 's use the same office reader that's available on Android. Plus with the bonus of being able to' print' files straight to your device without needing to upload or email yourself is a bonus for ease of moving your work flow onto your device when needed.

I have a BB Z10, and I love it. BlackBerry hasn't really gotten the credit they deserve with BB10. It's a solid platform. It (along with the BB10 phones) was just released way too late.

I used to have a Bold 9900, then a Galaxy Nexus. I definitely missed the physical keyboard, but I ended up going with the Z10 because of the extra screen real estate. Wanted that more than the physical keyboard. A colleague of mine has a Q10 (switched from an iPhone), and he really likes it.

Maybe I'm biased because I despise Apple, but in my opinion, BB10 FTW.

If you're going with the Z10 over the Q10 though, see if they'll let you have the Z30.

I find the Z10 works great for work. The typing is particularly a strong point.

I suggest getting an external battery pack, I use mine all the time. The phone's battery life isn't bad or anything, it's just nice not to have to worry about it.
