NBC can’t get enough of these figure skaters crying. Ghoulish.

Finland and Slovakia jerseys really clash. I find myself having to look at socks.

22 medals, but if we count only events that existed for the 1988 Calgary Olympics, we would have 3 medals.

Really, wow. That is shocking.

Testing myself, I remember Percy winning two bronzes in skiing and the two silvers in figure skating. Was there more?

We used to be very relevant in the downhill.

You may have already found the answer, but it's because she took a heavy penalty for duplicating a trick (the run had two 900s with the same rotation). She was going for a 1080 on the last hit but underrotated. Had she gotten another 180 degrees on that jump it would've scored much higher.

Bronze in ice dance. Wilson and McCall.

Gaetan Boucher won 3 medals, 2 golds, in 84 but the old legs just couldn't do it in 88.

Hockey game not involving Canada on three channels, Ski Cross has to be streamed right now. Frustrating.

Howden won his race and is moving on

I have to say, I don't really understand ski cross/snowboard cross. It seems like the launch determines 50% of the race, with another 30% decided by the end of the Wu-Tangs, wax/drag/mass determine your speed in the straights which is about 15%, and crashes 5%. Help me out?

It definitely seems like the start is absolutely crucial and it is hard to overcome any faults there

Like Leeman just caught up to Howden, but I don't see what he did to get there other pointing his skis down the hill and tucking.

Drury also out.

Canada down to just Leman after having 3 of the 6 fastest in the seeding round.

Oof

We used to be very relevant in the downhill.
In ‘88, we had silver in both singles figure skating, bronze in ice dance, and Karen percy’s two bronze.

The only medals we have this year in events that were part of 1988, are Weidemann’s two individual speed skating medals, and crawford’s alpine combined.
