No, Apple has handled that for me. Maybe I'll just get an iPhone.

In general I think Apple's implementation of bluetooth is garbage. Thoroughly unimpressed with how certain headphones pair with the iphone but work flawlessly on an Android. I wouldn't be surprised that it is some Apple trickery that kills the airpods on a non Apple device. Sorry, no advice. I too have issues with Apple and bluetooth and have not figured out a fix yet. For me it is answering calls and the phone will just randomly select a device to connect to answer the call....usually after I have picked up the call.

A lovely undocumented feature of the pixel 7 pro is the always on display likes to show the wrong time.
It's currently 11:47 pm.

I'm trying out a Fold 4. I'm not sure if it's the right phone for me but I'll give it time. I find the front screen perfect for quick, one-handed use but the large screen is almost too big. I wish it wasnt so square. If you watch videos on it you might as well be using a normal phone and a lot of apps don't use the full screen. Foldables are only 1% of the market so it'll take time for that to change.
Does anyone have any case recommendations? I love Spigen but their case is nearly $100 and looks bulky. I might just go with a dbrand skin.
Edit: anyone with a Fold 4 or S22 Ultra get Android 13 yet? It was supposed to roll out weeks ago.

I'm loving this phone. I got the dbrand skin which makes it less slippery and a screen protector for the front glass. That should be enough protection. A case would just add bulk.
I dont think I'll get an s pen. I rarely used it with previous phones.
I miss the Apple watch though. I'm going to grab a Galaxy watch tomorrow so hopefully it'll cover most of my needs.

Well, the honeymoon is over. I still like Fold 4 a lot but I really can't see it being my daily driver. The front screen is too narrow for typing and I'm not going to open it up every time I need to.
If it was wider and shorter that would be ideal. Then it would open up to a better aspect ratio as well.
Android 13 is available today for the S22 Ultra. I like what I see so for.

If they ever get to something less than archaic charging speeds, my fob will be a pixel.
Mine is an all day heavy use work phone, and then a play/pics phone otherwise. I do not have up to 2 hours to charge it half way through day.
Rant over

I already miss having the fingerprint sensor on the back. The one of the screen doesn't seem to pick up my fingers very well

One of my favorite long lost features. No idea why everyone decided to move in screen. It's far less intuitive and I haven't had one that works as good yet.
Like why is it at the bottom if it has to be in the screen? My thumb is naturally 1/3 up on the screen, and of course my index finger is exactly where they used to put them on the back.

Any reason why the ATB business app isn't available in the Play Store via my Pixel 7? You'd think it would be compatible.
Edit: it seems to be pulled from the store.

GPS giving me lots of problems on my OnePlus 10 last few days. Downloaded an app called GPS status and toolbox. Resetting cached GPS data and it functions perfectly, for some amount of time. No reset and it never fixes location.
I'm assuming I might have to flash a now rom for a permanent fix? (never done this before)
I did initially reboot from factory, thinking an app had caused the problem, but did not help.
Thanks for any advice you may have!

I've gotten that a few times on my OnePlus 10, but rebooting the phone has always fixed it and it doesn't happen often for me

Anyone own a Samsung tab S8? Preferably the s8 plus? I’m looking at a new tablet and considering it.

I have one and think it's pretty solid. Good performance with multi-day battery life and a great OLED screen that's a nice balance between screen area and portability compared to the other S8 tablets. The S8 Ultra by comparison is much bigger and more of a laptop size.

The ultra is giant. I’m an iPad user but I have an android phone. My use case is photo editing and I’m hoping for some video editing too. I think Lightroom runs fine on Android and I have heard lumafusion is fine. I was leaning ipad again but I keep getting sucked back to thinking about the plus.

This is not entirely Android related but does anyone have a recommendation for a USB-C adapter for 3.5mm headphones and USB-C charging?
I bought my kid's new tablets that do not have 3.5mm jacks. My kid's have headphones that are Bluetooth with a detachable 3.5mm cable so that they still work if/when they don't charge the headphones. I've looked at a bunch of adapters on Amazon and they all have varying reviews and I'm most concerned about the adapter working reliably. I understand that cheap Chinese tech may not last long but if I can find something that lasts for a year or more I would be really happy.

I've been using this 3.5 mm adapter for a long time (I got one with my Pixel 2, still use it today with other phones) and even bought an extra for my wife because of the durability.
