It requires him to cover both ends of the ice.

So is the oilers putting their backup in with a few minutes to go (he's an ATO because skinner was out) a little disrespectful, or as most of the oiler fans online are calling it, a "classy move"?

I think it was pretty classy (wrong topic to support an Oiler move I know)

It was classy for the EBUG, but very disrespectful to the opponent IMO.

It's a four goal lead with 2+ minutes to play, against a tanking team.
I can see what you're saying, but given what they were trying to do I doubt the Hawks were fussed by it.

It was Jordan Kyrou last year and Matt Barzal in 2020 (no All-Star games in 2021 due to covid).

And didn’t Larkin win the year before? Has McD even won it?

He won three years in a row. '17, '18, and '19. Now he lost a couple and rather than improve to try again he's bitching out.

Between that and the blatant diving (really, cartwheeling from a gaudreau hit?) I sure can't wait to have a new nhl generational poster boy so we can move on from this guy
this one is also missing half the spectrum of human emotions. creeps me out

But I’m told that “speed in an all star game with a stupid stopwatch isn’t the same thing as McDavid speed and that makes him the fastest”. He’s also “the best because opponents get away with so many penalties”.
I was also informed that the media proves this because they write about it. Guess which media was cited?
“Great, unbiased” spector, staples who “admittedly” comes off as a “fan” but the things he writes are as “credible as any journalist”, snet broadcast crew “they wouldn’t have their job if they were biased”, and Sportsnet and TSN coverage “they can’t stop talking about just how great McDavid and the oilers are”.
Oh and I’m “still bitter and will be for a long time because of the playoffs. Kane’s return just seals it.”

Average team is average. Average drafts, average results, average trades, average asset management, average vision, average outcomes. Average.

Yep, i think I've said it before but I can't wait until he's not even the best Connor in the league. Could be very soon.

It would have been hilarious if the Hawks got a couple quick ones though.

Yeah, that was an interesting talking point last night
To be more accurate, they should have a fastest skater while carrying the puck, embellishing fantom contact while exhibiting zero personality competition

I'm actually OK with that for the most part ANY time an EBUG dresses...because it's a rarity. As long as the team that needs the EBUG isn't either in danger of losing or the loss doesn't matter....it's a bit of harmless fun and the fans love it (even if in this case they were Sweatpants Nation).
Now if an EBUG comes in and HAS to play....and save a game (didn't that happen a couple of years ago?)....even better!

A block of wood wins the last segment of the competition over Mavi.

One good stretch and the Edmonton media are back to planning the cup parade.

There isn’t much wrong with this team and there’s a lot right at the top end with McDavid, Draisaitl and company.
The Oilers could win the Stanley Cup this season. The tweaks are straight ahead.
