Sure, that's one reason fighters fight.
It's one way to make money at fighting because the more eyeballs you draw, the bigger the pay days.
Doesn't necessarily make you a dominant, winning fighter though.
And that's what I'm saying, they are over rated in terms of success in the octagon. Neither were ever the best or had championship pedigree. They were just rungs on the ladder for other fighters on their way to being ufc champions.

Despite a few wins like the Conor fight I totally agree that they were highly overrated. They could both take a beating which is why they stuck around for so long. They’re both probably on the spectrum or have serious CTE, but that’s another conversation.

Here's an article in the Globe and Mail about it. Sad for sure.

How did O’Malley get that decision? Yan won two, arguably three rounds based on takedowns. O’Malley is fun to watch but that’s a terrible decision.

Shocked that all the sports sites have pushed the Dana White wife beating story, down the list. They both looked like they took heavy cracks at one another. He's a dirtbag regardless of the explanation as there have been stories about him and his extra curriculars for years.

Volkanovski with a really impressive showing moving up a weight class against Makhachev, especially with the size disadvantage
He may have lost, but probably did better than everyone in the 155 top 10 would have.

Great fight. Makhachev looked like he was out of it at the end. Spent the whole fifth round watching the clock.
