Rob Kerr was by far the low point. Irritating bit.

Just got home. The kids had a blast. We had a sign made up for Backlund and he came to throw a tshirt to my daughter, who was already smiling ear to ear just because he acknowledged her sign with a smile minutes before. Totally made her day and my son super jealous.

Best laugh was when Stone broke his stick and the announcer suggested Gully throw him a new one.
The whole thing was pretty fun though.

Brouwer looks like he has good skill in skills competition,
Why can't he show a smidge of that in a hockey game?

I was there. It was enjoyable. I let the kids pick the seats so of course they picked front row. Hamonic with no gear on the bench but I didn't see Smitty anywhere.

Was your backlund sign Simpson themed? If so I believe the three of you are on the Calgary Flames Instagram.

Doors should've opened before 1pm. What a gong show. At least we got the seats we wanted. And my boys enjoyed the whole show.

My son got a t shirt throw to him. Not sure why it's an Adult XL, but he's wearing it. Lol

Went with my kids too and we all had a great time. They picked front of the second balcony. Smitty was on the 'red' bench with his kids for most of it.

All the events are now up on the Flames Facebook page to watch. I thought Stone would do well in the hardest shot and won with 105.1mph. I was surprised when he said after that it was the first time he had ever had his shot clocked.

Overall a great family event.

Versteeg is hilarious and clearly very close with his teammates. Loved his chirps at Bartkowski and Tkachuk
