This game will prove to be very interesting.
A win here will do well in confidence for both the team and our fan base. A loss however could possibly cause CP to implode, have some posters completely lose their scat and initiate the flames to shift and or sit some players.
I want a win obviously but either outcome will no doubt be entertaining.

Wow, the CP fan base is really on the ledge. Before losing 3 of the last 4, the Flames were on a 8-3-1 streak. Even with the last 4 their record is 9-6-1 over their last 16 games.

That is still a projected 97+ points. On the season they are projected for 88 points, probably not good enough, but win the next three and that changes wildly, back to a 96 point pace.

Flames saw the Leafs a week ago, and had Frolik's comments about them not playing defense thrown in the face. I predict a 4-2 Flames win.

Seems the GT attitude has leaked across all CP.
4-2 Flames, Gully with the hat trick. Because apparently the players mean nothing and its coach vs coach.

The fear was that once the production of the first line slowed down, the team would struggle. Smith has come back to earth too.

Every time I think the Flames are about to come into their game and have a solid win they get thumped.... so... 8-2 Leafs.

I'll be there tonight too, moved here two years ago and have been to both flames game since, 0-2 in that span. Really hoping to see my first flames win at the ACC tonight. I'm oddly confident about it, Flames are weird in which they win the games you expect them to lose and vice versa, they also play better on the road. So I'm thinking we win this back to back set!

If Smith comes to play they’ve got a shot. If he doesn’t? 5-2 Leafs.

I actually expect them to win tonight. They've taken three ass kickings in the last week and I feel like that has probably taken some of the pressure off of the group in a strange way.

It makes no sense but I think we might actually see the Flames end up with a lopsided win. We win this one 4-1 or 5-1

I sense an easy Leafs win. Hope I'm wrong, but right now the only line working for the Flames seems to be the 3rd line and the D has gone from below average to atrocious.

On the plus side, any kind of skid will likely lead to big changes to the team - something I think they need.

They'll show up and win 4-3.
This is who they are...a team that can string together a few convincing wins, then follow up with several awful ones.

How dare you inject any positive vibes in this thread!

But seriously, I am with you. The last few have been depressing but I'm hoping it's just a bad slump of a few games. Hopefully the low point of the season.
I hope to see some passion tonight and that they avenge their loss to the Leafs.

Boo this thread. The Flames are playing better on the road. They'll come out strong after a decent effort and bad result on Monday. Players will play mistake free hockey without the hometown pressure on their shoulders.

3-2 Flames
