i've shared this before but it still makes me chuckle.
back in university i had a prof (rick) that always wore shorts. we finally had a really good cold snap and he came to class wearing pants.
he started teaching and asked if anyone had any questions and one girl started to ask something and just stopped mid sentence. rick asked her what was wrong and she blurted out.... you just look so different with pants on!
the entire class burst out laughing and that's when she realized what she had said.
she was soooooo embarrassed!

I know I've told this story before and it always makes me laugh!
I had an Accounting Prof, they flew him in to show him the Campus in June, etc. All good, he agrees to the job and he shows up to start work for the Winter semester in December.
Yeah, well, they poached him from the University of Ghana in June, but Calgary in June and Calgary in December are wildly different places but he's telling this story about how he shows up in Calgary in December in a thin t-shirt, shorts and sandals and....
"WTF is this ####?"

In this age of trying to reduce plastic waste, it’s disappointing that the Christmas decoration of choice seems to be these inflatable lawn ornaments.
Talk about completely mailing it in too. What a lazy and dumb decoration. They look like #### all day long, like garbage bags all over your lawn. And they hardly look decent inflated. Especially these people who have 10-20 of them. Laaammmmeee

LOL somebody's a grinch. If they purchased the inflatable decorations years ago it's not really wasteful if they are trotting them out every year as opposed to throwing them in the trash because some people may think they are mailing it in even if they are just attempting to make the season fun for their kids. It's like some of you want to sap the fun out of everything.

I kinda agree. I hate he lead up to Christmas, every thing from scams to everyone trying to wedge as much money out of you as possible. I get it, retailers and online stores need sales to make a living, but it is such a cash grab.
Christmas itself, I love it! Spending time with the family and a bit of downtime from kids activities is great!!
