Sounds like a good fit for the Denver Broncos.

(yes, that is a joke,)
Denver's one strong point it its passing game. Shouldn't even consider Moss, but I appreciate the joke!

This Redskins saga is getting stranger by the day.

Quote:
ASHBURN, Va. -- On Day 3 of the Washington Redskins' attempt to explain the benching of Donovan McNabb, the head coach's son gave it a try. He was doing a decent job -- until he threw in a new wrinkle that only added to the confusion.

Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said Tuesday that McNabb was told in advance of the possibility of getting pulled from the game if coaches felt the veteran quarterback was struggling.

McNabb went on the radio and immediately claimed otherwise, saying: "I didn't hear that part."

So if I have this right...

On Sunday McNabb was too dumb to understand the 2 minute drill's terminology.

Then yesterday he was fat and lazy and couldnt physically finish the game the way Shanahan wanted.

Now today he simply isnt playing well enough and changes were needed.

And in each instance, Rex Grossman was the better option?

McNabb might as well just start packing his bags now, I cant see any way he will be back in Washington next year, and may even not finish this season there.

I think Shanahan is in the early stages of demetia or something....he is drawing way to much criticism to his team with this nonsense and his ridiculous pulling on Sunday.

Add to the mix the fact that apparently Shanahan thinks that JaMarcus Russell may be smarter, less fat/lazy or a better option than McNabb and you have one of the most bizarre NFL situations in a long time.

I'm truly at a loss. Something doesn't add up.

The problem with Moss is that motivated Moss lasts about 3 seconds. Even at his best on the supposed best team of all time he took a ton of plays off.

For a team like the Colts that actually have a chance the risk of Moss is not worth.

For a team that has no chance adding Moss makes sense because when he torpedos your season you can claim you did everything to try and win.

I don't know how many people watched the game considering it was the LIons and I doubt many places had it outside of NFL SUnday Ticket, but McNabb was a statue back there all game long. He was noticeably slower than every Lions defensive Lineman and having watched him his whole career intelligence is not his strong suit so a lot of what the Shannahan's are saying makes sense.

Now bringing in Russell kills any sort of credibility that they had as he isn't a solution for a Calgary Midget football team let alone a supposed NFL team.

Holy crap I agree with MOON (in regards to the Colts and Moss)!

Caldwell already said in an interview today that Moss and the Colts won't happen.

Shanahan is undermining himself by doing this as well. McNabb is supposed to be his guy. The guy they traded a second and third-round pick for the guy and stated he was going to save the franchise. Now he's no better than Rex freaking Grossman at running the two-minute drill? Even if Shanahan is right about the guy, he kind of has to stick with at least until the end of the season.

Hey rube, is Jackson playing this week? To be honest, I haven't watched a lot of the Eagles games this year but I know that playing in Philadelphia will be a tough game.

That is a good point and I forgot to mention that.

It does seem weird that after giving up that much he would turn on him so quickly.

I know the deal reeks of Snyder but I can't believe that Shannahan is going to be forced into a move like that by Snyder. He had to at least give his approval.

Jackson is a game-time decision. The Eagles have actually played better on the road than at home this year. They're only win at home was the game against Atlanta.

The more interesting stat, I think, is that the Eagles are 11-0 coming out of the bye week under Andy Reid. However, they've also been pretty poor against the Colts during the Peyton Manning era.

Well supposedly Bruce Allen has full control over the team, but I highly doubt Snyder doesn't at least have some of his fingers in the pie.

Dallas has said that they will not be making a claim on Moss.

Randy Moss' website had an interesting post from him asking his readers to tell him where they would like to see him play. He only listed 4 teams. Seattle, St. Louis, Tennessee or Miami. Being a Colts fan I hope he doesn't go to Tennessee. The Titans are already a good football team. No need to add Moss!

Miami is reportedly really strongly considering making a claim.

Waiver order for Moss. 2:30 pm MST on Wednesday is when teams can claim him by.

ESPN power rankings out for week 9. No surprises, but it certainly shows how completely dominant the AFC has been thus far this year.

Sounds like the Redskins or Dolphins may claim Moss.

Various league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the Washington Redskins, Chicago Bears, St. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets and even the Patriots are among the teams possibly interested in claiming Moss.
However, a league source told ESPNNewYork.com's Rich Cimini on Wednesday that the Jets did not submit a claim for Moss.
DOesnt look like he will clear...which is to bad for him I guess because then he could choose from those interested, keep the vikes on the hook for his 3.8 million remaining and only cost the team that signs him 450K.

I dont see how he helps the Bears at all...that team cant keep the QB upright long enough for Moss to do his thing.

Washington, KC, St. Lou, And Miami all make the most sense to me.

Goodness no to Seattle.

He'll lay into Hasslebeck (rightfully so) but those outcries will be dismissed as more Moss crazy talk and Hasslebeck will get a free pass to continue to stumble his way through this season as the only QB taking snaps.

Now if Shanahan wants to release a certain former Eagles QB as a dramatic final act of the debacle down there, then Seattle should be calling (as they were interested in March).

In my opinion, Moss will only be happy at this point with a team that's a virtual lock for a playoff spot. If he could take back the last 6 weeks I think he would, and still be on NE, now seeing what the grass is like on the other side. So, he has to find a similar situation where he can do his thing, help out in his small ways, but be in a stable situation on a non-dramatic team, and go from there onto the playoffs without much fanfare.

Of course it takes two to tango...teams like the Jets, Giants, Colts, Chiefs, Steelers, which look to maybe fit the above criteria for the most part at this point, have to want him too.

PFT is reporting that the Titans have made a claim on Moss.

And the Bills are taking Merriman.

So the Bills officialy get Merriman and he has 7 days to report to the team.

Thank god another team is putting a claim in on Moss, I was afraid we'd still be on the hook, financially, for him.

So far only only the Titans are reported to have put in a claim. The Rams and Seahawks both have NOT put in a claim.

Adam Schefter
Oakland is the team to watch on Randy Moss. if he clears there, watch out Miami. And if he clears there, he's home to Tennessee.

please no
