Really enjoyed the interview with Cabbie! What a blast from the past and I had no idea he lived in Calgary now. Although I think a lot of the gambling in sports talk was B.S. Pinder is great at these type of interviews.

I have no idea why, but I'm hosting Barnburner with Rhett on Thursday.

Pinder's going to be in Seattle watching the Blue Jays hopefully not complete the choke job and I think they said something about Boomer being in Texas?

I think Boomer is in Winnipeg. I recall last week they did the show with him in the back seat of a truck driving across Sask.

Not Barnburner related, but did anyone hear Francis last week with Steinberg? He was mocking those Flames fans who were critical of Huska playing Bean over Parekh and then in the most condescending way possible explained how there was two sides to the ice and that Bean and Parekh play entirely different positions.
And then less than 24 hours later, Parekh enters the lineup in place of Bean.
I honestly don't mind the guy but doesn't strike me as a student of the game.

That's right. Of course, we've already established that I don't actually watch any of our shows, so I'm sure it'll all go just fine.

Maybe that was it. I thought I heard something about Houston but I wasn't paying much attention. I knew Pinder was going to Seattle.

Speaking of Francis on Flames Talk, does his phone always make him sound like he just had dental work done or has he always sounded like that and I just haven't noticed. Weird lisp.
Anyways, yeah he goes out of his way to play the smartest guy role then inevitably sticks his foot in his mouth. Which might be what I'm hearing come to think of it.

Yes! Numerous times I thought Francis had recent dental work done while on the FAN960 only to see him on SN and speak without that lisp.

I enjoyed the show today. Would be cool if they made that a weekly thing, I think Rhett liked having a day off from Boomer & Pinder!

Make sure you tell him Braden Pachal reminds you of him. Ornery Rhett is my favourite Rhett. Plus, if Pinder isn't there, somebody has to poke him.

I think my favourite part of the show was Dean phoning in his football picks from the Airport Denny's.

Next time you should ask Rhett about smashing the kids player of the game award helmet after the first game of the season in the dressing room because they played like garbage. Twas hilarious and deserved.
