Openly racist. Corporate stooge that prevented his co-workers from advancing or even getting basic work benefits like time off or medical coverage. Big ol' Liar.

Hogan died just 7 days short of 10 years that the greatest WWF personality of all time died.

Full on MAGAt, too. So many interviews from other wrestlers who absolutely despised him because he was a complete backstabbing, whiny, conniving sht bag.

Was he really that open about it? I remember him getting caught on a recorded call using the n-word multiple times when referring to his daughter's boyfriend.

I think the most disgusting thing he did was brush off the death of his son's friend in a car accident, it was 100% his son's fault since he was driving and being reckless. Hogan said the friend must have done something bad in life to have such bad karma and be the one who died.

The main incident was that the tape where he goes off about his daughter's boyfriend. The tape was also sex tape featuring one of Hogan and one of his friend's wife. It was leaked without his permission.

The craziest part is that Hogan ended up getting a massive court award from Gawker, who leaked the tape:

I can't wait to hear what Corny has to say about it.

Corny rarely seems to speak ill of the dead when they are recently passed buuuuuut Hogan may be one of the few people he makes exceptions for.

That whole Bubba the Love Sponge and his wife thing was pretty bizarre even for them as Hogan went from best man to banging wife with Bubba filming to divorce and hurt feelings.

I think there needs to seperate the Wrestling Hogan legacy from the type of person that Terry Bollea seemed to be.

There's no question that he changed the sport forever and moved it to the main stream. He did create a mania about wrestling and without him Wrestling might have remained as a fake sport instead of the Wrestling conglomerate that it became.

Wrestling really moved from smoky halls and the madison square garden shows to the arenea and PPV's thanks to Hogan and Vince Macmahon.

Could he wrestler, he could but he wasn't great. He was amazing on the mic and his character represented a larger then life super hero.

When he left the WWE, and went to WCW, everyone thought his time was done, fans were bored of his character, but he absolutely re-invented himself as a heel and the top man in the NWO.

Hulk Hogan was a phenomena, there's no doubt that he's on the Wrestling Mount Rushmore.

However Hulk Hogan the human being was a different story. Except for his group of his friends that he got jobs for, he is pretty much hated behind the scenes. The ultimate politician who wrecked wrestlers pushes if they effected him. The politician who ended careers. Ratted out Jessie Ventura. Got people fired.

He was a accused bigot, a slimeball, and a serial cheater. His politicking lead to the death of WCW, and wrecked TNA as it was beginning to take root.

He hung on way beyond his best before label, becoming a mockery of himself, and completely cringy.

I was never a fan of Hogan's even at his height. I always cheered for the heels hoping that anyone of Andre the Giant or Ping Pong Bundy or Sting would end Hogan, it never ever happened, his spot was always safe.

On a side note, I met Hogan twice in my life was in Winnipeg in the Port O Call inn where I was staying when I went over to a room that was partying too hard while I was trying to sleep, and I ended up drinking beers with the occupants Brutus Beefcake, Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage. (They all wore their gimmicks, and kind of kept kayfabe with me in the room but it was cool being called Brother by these mega stars and getting them to laugh at my jokes.

The next time I met Hogan was a house show in Calgary where I was security and I get to walk him to the entrance to the ring area.

But I still couldn't cheer for the guy.

I also can't say "Good" he's dead.

He was an icon to me until I hit 5. Celebrity yes. Constant hypocrite yes. Competing in a sport, no. Silly that the whole genre still exists.
