Today, they put the last women's match at night after Vika yelled at them.

Swiatek is the only top 10 seed remaining on the women's side as Sakkari just eliminated Kenin rather easily 6-1 6-3.

Sinner is ripping the cover off the ball in this opening set.

Well good 50 minutes from Sinner, but after that gag job serving for the set we all know it ends 7-5, 6-2, 6-1 from here on out.

That Sinner choke job is why I want the big three to retire right now so we can just see where the sport goes. I genuinely think the sport is in for a spectacular collapse in interest and prize money once they are gone, this young group has no heart for greatness. I think a lot of fans who became fans from the big three are not sticking around and that's a big problem for the sport.

I've seen so many players fail to serve out a set, and then get broken again right after to lose it in that same situation, I would have put $100 on it happening. the power of the Holy Trinity is not their serve, forehand, tactics, etc. it's their ability to make the opponent suck at just the right moment.

It's genuinely hilarious though that Sinner was going to win that set until he choked, because at the time he gagged he had a whopping 3 winners against 17 UFE's. Clay tennis, feel the excitement!!!
Edit: Sinner needs to fake injury retire, what a mental midget.

Of course. Pressure free tennis? Young guys can hang. Apply even 1% pressure? Watch them crumble.

A little nervous to start from Rafa but he was able to get the job done.
Medvedev is 6-1 vs Tsitsipas and 1-0 on clay........who y'all taking tomorrow? I'll go with Tsitsipas in 4

I'm fully aware as a tennis fan that the greatest match has already been played .....2008 Wimbledon Men's final. No other match can match it in terms of quality and drama. When the big 3 retire I will still watch but there is no one that will be as good as Novak, Roger or Rafa, ever. Not in 5 years not in 100 years.
I'm still going to find players to follow (Shapo, FAA, Thiem, Tsitsipas) but I won't be as invested as I am right now.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I heard (or read) that women's tennis gets better ratings on tv than men's tennis. I'm sure that is likely driven by Serena (both fans as well as people that hate-watch her matches), but we are looking as a seismic shift in both the men's and women's game as Serena as well as the Big Three are likely gone in five years time. The good news is that Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek, Ash Barty, and Bianca should be able to keep women's tennis going strong for the foreseeable future.
