I just heard the producer (Connor) on Team 1040 mention something on-air regarding Sekeres' attempt to confront the referees after the game. It sounded like an attempt at an apology/justification saying that Matt is a passionate guy.

Interesting stuff.

They keep insulating there was a referee bias because of the difference in powerplays that the Canucks received compared to the Sharks (24 to 14). What these idiots forget is that 5 of those powerplays occurred during the 3rd period of the third game when the Canucks went off the rails and were blown out. So really there was barely a difference between the two teams.

In terms of meaningful time the man advantages were a lot closer than people keep saying (including Aaron Ward).

This really is telling stuff. Too bad I missed all of the nuts in the first few hours after the end of the game.

Laughed when Sedin had the empty net and hit the post.

Laughed more when the no-controversy goalie situation became a controversy in game 3 with 3 very bad stoppable goals allowed by Schneider.

Laughed even harder when Schneider had no clue where the puck was on the series winning goal.

Reffing is what it is, and this failure to deliver routine plays in clutch situations will be what these guys are really thinking about this summer.

They were down 3-0 and were not going to win. They should be thankful. Mercy came early.

How two Sharks were behind the Canucks defence is nothing short of mind bottling. Poor effort on the backcheck. Hang your head Sedin.

My mistake. That's #23, Alex Edler, not #22, who was sitting in the penalty box on that play.

It took the whole team working together to lose this series in 4 straight.

The brooms came out, what a sight! The Canucks are the first team in the playoffs to have this song played and hopefully it was cranked up on the bus ride to the airport. Have fun Loserongo and give back your gold medal. Sing it loudly everyone, the Canucks deserve this song.

Marleau scoring the winning goal with a broom photoshopped in to his hands.

Yeah, probably not Korean sensors but rather a certain company with a big "Digital City" in Suwon

I still can't get over that rebound. He just gift wrapped that to Marleau.

I think AV goes, but Gillis is staying a little bit longer.
Gillis will probably get one more coach to burn through but you can make a case for him to be fired given his stubborness/inability to deal with the lingering Luongo issue. Gillis seems to be putting his ego ahead of what's best for the team in insisting he's going to receive top compensation when he needs to accept that teams simply aren't going to give up top assets for that contract. Personally I hope Gillis keeps his job as he's doing a fine job of riding Nonis's team into the ground.

I'm sure the Canucks would kill just for the asterisk at this point.
