The bike paths not being cleared is the first sign of snowmageddon. Definitely a WFH day.

I'm in Montgomery and got well over a foot. Easy shoveling though.

Yeah no thanks to driving in traffic in this. I drove home from work at 10pm last night and even that was too many other cars on the road tor my liking. Quite slippery under the 3-4" that was there at the time. Now I'm on a bus and it has struggled to get moving multiple times after stopping to pick people up.

Shoveled yesterday before bed. Got up today to find a fresh foot of snow to shovel, and it's still coming down. Looks to be as light and easy to move as it was yesterday, though.

Only around 15cm at my house in the NE, not too much issue getting to work in the SE.

Aaaand my neighbor across the street is shoveling his driveway into the street in front of where I park my car. So now everyone trying to get down the street has to navigate the two to three foot drift he is creating in the middle of the street and getting my car out will be an adventure. I've asked him not to a few times but to no avail.

At least my Jeep is in the garage in the back and I can get around in that and maybe use it to pack the pile down.

See, days like today are why society cant rely on cyclists. They're untrustworthy.

It snowed a little and they cant get to work. Shenanigans!

Made the trip from Millarville area to Midnapore. Highway 22 northbound was plowed, but southbound was still partially covered and in rough shape. Ramps, intersections and side roads in the city are all a total mess. If you’re driving in the area, avoid the ramp off MacLeod southbound to James McKevitt at all costs as there were three vehicles already stuck on the hill just after the train crossing. Stoney Trail at 22X was also a disaster and very slippery. Stay safe out there!

VP sent out a message to WFH today if you want to.

So I am.

Wasn't concerned about making it downtown if I had to.

Just watching the snow continue to fall from my basement window.

Might try to shovel a bit later...might not.

Opted to take the train today and was seamless. Road was fine to the 69th station anyway.

Be careful out there. I got rear-ended yesterday at the traffic circle in Mckenzie Towne as there was black ice as you approach the circle from Inverness. Car is likely a write-off now given the age and damage. Was going to take the bus to work today but as soon as I looked out the window this morning I knew that wasn't happening. Wife's boss called and told her to stay home too.

Looks nasty AF out there.

I think enough people (wisely) stayed off the roads, that (at least for me) my commute in was uneventful, much better than I expected after my 3rd round of shoveling

Moved back last summer (but going back in a few months to work remotely for a while and visit the wife's fam).

All good, no injuries. Just hurt feelings since I actually liked my car and it had relatively low kms for it's age. Just the universe telling me it's time for a change
