Would honestly love him on the Caps. I bet him and Wilson become really good friends after their battles too

Two posts in recent days pointing towards Washington hmmm.
Their roster is screaming for a Nazem Kadri as they push to keep OV going for another Cup.

The Caps are a bubble team this year, so their first rounder could end up being pretty good.

Washington has a wealth of amazing prospects that they could easily part with:
RW Terik Perascak, LW Lynden Lakovic, LW Ilya Protas, LW Andrew Cristall, D Cole Hutson, C Milton Gastrin, D Cam Allen, LW Eriks Mateiko, LW Ivan Miroshnichenko

Would very likely be protected in some way or a other.

That’s fine. If it ends up being 27 unprotected that’s good too.

Considering we can’t even name one top 6 soon to be UFA with a leadership reputation like Kadri’s or even Coleman’s then maybe not.

Capital would be. Legit contender if they added a D like Rasmus.

Cole Hutson and a 2026 1st would be amazing. Feels like too much from the Caps though.

Yes. I can't see the Habs parting with Hage.

I think Eberle would be a great veteran to bring in. Hometown kid gets to finish his career in front of his friends and family.

100% they say no. 0 chance we land Hage.
With Hage and the young team they have, I would bet they are ready to part ways with any other prospect and 1sts to improve.
For Coleman, I would be excited for 1 1st. RS to add a quality prospect or another pick IMO

Most I have ever seen is top 12 protected. Good chance this pick would be in the 12-20 range which is better than 28-32.
Caps have a lot of quality prospects too

Its kind of funny how so many of the GIFs are posted in the middle of the night. I picture them being woken up with news, wiping the sleep from their eyes and groggily searching for the right GIF.

I just gave you 4 very well respected vets that can play top 9. Again, why the made up criteria for top 6?

OK, I don’t believe Washington would trade Wilson for Mangiapane.

Friedman with an odd tweet now specifically singling out Kotkaniemi as having trade interest (no specific teams listed as being interested though). Just find it curious that he'd post that about this particular player so I'd expect him to be moved asap.

Protected picks from teams trying to make a push are way more exciting to me than unprotected mid round picks. The odds of them blowing it the next season are higher than the current season, every time.
