So, I'm guessing that a troll said Ullmark is an alien and got summoned back to the homeworld, and staios took umbridge.

I honestly am convinced if they traded Coleman to MTL it'll be for Dach and picks. There's no room for him with how Kapanen has bloomed. Suzuki, Kapanen, Danault, Evans. That's their centers.

Since when do teams release statements in response to social media gossip?
If anything, that move makes it seem like the gossip is true.

What is it with Swedes and their wives blowing Ottawa up.

Pro athletes cheating on their spouses? I'd be curious to hear which ones didn't because it's part of the hockey culture. Anyway, sounds pretty hilarious that his wife spilled the beans. Good for her. Brady is a dbag anyway regardless.

Yeah, it is true and very sad. Tonight when he goes to the net, goal. In fact it seems every time he goes to the net it's a scoring chance or goal.
That's why he has so few, he seldom goes to the net anymore.
Why not workout with Gary Roberts and get swole? Zary with some meat on him and more of a simple game would be incredible.
It's probably never going to happen, though.

No chance. They ####ed up and either lied or misrepresented the situation which impacted another teams roster plans. They were directly asked about trade protection details.

Yeah, I laughed at that part. Doesn't matter what the organization does or says, the average Joe schmoe now believes these rumors to be irrefutable facts.

FWIW the guy who first posted the Ullmark stuff on X deleted his account shortly after posting and before the Sens posted the denial.

This.
Trade Kadri, then pickup a vet that will accept the role. A Backlund type.

Yeah no doubt Kadri is an excellent leader and mentor. But I have confidence Conroy can find someone to fill that role.
Jiri’s original point was about needing centers for young wingers to play with. Which I think is a fair point, but I don’t see really see Kadri having unique value in terms of developing guys on his line through his play as a C.

Agreed. Yes, having Cs to help bring young players along is needed. But it doesn't have to be Kadri. Trade him for assets, then being in someone affordable (costwise)

Because Backlunds can be ordered in case lots from Temu, right? Any old player can do that job. I hear Evander Kane is going to be available, why not him?

I wouldn’t mind a Coleman plus Zary for either higher calibre young player or more picks. Don’t think Zary is the guy, either.

There no rush if you’re rebuilding. If you have enough young talent and veteran leadership, you can give yourself some time to find a center if you need one. If that player isn’t there at the start of the year, it’s no disaster.

The point was to acquire veteran leadership through free agency. Guys who are good at that don’t make it to market often, and they can pick and choose between teams.
