And the Giants keep getting exposed. That must have felt good for Rivers.

Hopefully the next couple games will be a bit easier to stomach, but I'm not counting on anything...

No kidding, feel free to win a laugher New Orleans. Brees was jumpy in the pocket pretty much all game, but credit to the Panthers who refused to budge for three quarters. Now I hope the Saints hang 50 on the Rams, I still hate the Rams.....

I have a soft spot for the Rams since they were the team the Saints beat for their first ever playoff win, BUT...
Flipper Anderson haunts my nightmares!!!
Week 13 1989 season, national TV, Saints blow a 14 point lead and give Willie "Flipper" Anderson the game of his life.
15 receptions, 336 yards, Oddly enough, only 1 TD.
Edit: Maybe we should have our own thread like the Browns? Especially since the Saints D has more TD's than the Browns offense...

Well they do have one of the better defences in the league statiscally so I'm not sure i agree the 3-4 isn't working. Especially considering they were a 4-3 team for decades and this year's unit is playing better than last year's unit. its just a problem of learing the system, new coaching, and the fact that they arn't ideally built for a 3-4 team.
Today was on special teams though, not the defence. Special teams gave up 14 points IMO (blocked punt and then allowed an 88 yard return right after the Pack had inreased the lead) and then you have rodgers with the INT for 7 at the end. Defence actually played OK but have been inconsistant all season.
But I completely agree that mcCarthy and Thompson are both gone. I use to like both (i'm a packer Backer) but now can't wait until they are gone. I've had enough of McCarthy's terribly questionable playcalling and I hate the status of the O-Line that Thompson continues to believe he can ignore. I'm sorry but brining back Tauscher who had kneee surgery doens't count as taking care of the O_line. He hasn't brought in one notable FA since he signed Picket and Woodson and that just doesn't work in today's NFL. I kept thinking that he was just building his core and then would get active in FA but its not coming so he needs to get going out of Green Bay and take McCarthy with him. I don't put it all on McCarthy becuase of the o Line. You can't run McCarthy's offence without a decent o line and he has probably the worst one in the league.

Brutal spot given to the Eagles. McNabb had about another 3/4 to a yard then where they spotted it.

And the only reason he had a chance to make that throw was because of the garbage officiating. Walt Coleman is a useless, senile, old fart.

I already commented on the officiating a post above the one you quoted. But even with the bad call...........it was like 2nd and 25 and 3rd and 14......you can't let them get a 1st down.

I want this game to go to OT. It's a good battle between two decent teams.

And that's why I would have gone for it. Looks like the game is over with no timeouts left.
