Dexter calls Hannah tells her Deb has been shot.
Tells Hannah to leave that he will fly to Argentina with Harrison later.
PI intercepts Hannah leaving. She charms him and swings a deal for 1/2 the money to let her go. Since he is all about the $ he takes the deal.
Hannah might just leave knowing she will always be 2nd to Deb.
Deb pulls through.
Saxon kills Dexter, Quinn or Deb kills Saxon.
Deb goes off the deep end realizing Dexter is gone that he was her whole world and takes on her own dark passenger (Dexter) to carry on his legacy using the code that Dexter once followed when she finds Vogel and Dexters files. That could be the spin off?
Deb gets full details who the blood are of.

All of the glaring problems shine extra bright because of how well done the final season of Breaking Bad has been.
At this point, I think last year should have been the final season, and it should have ended with Deb shooting Dexter. It wouldn't have been perfect, but it would have been better than this.

It speaks volumes that I cared more for when a show like Spartacus was ending more than Dexter. At one point I would have said Dexter was a top ten drama for me, but after the last few seasons that's not the case.
It might suck to see it go once it's done, but it ended up overstaying its welcome, which is strange as a feel they left a lot of ground uncovered and could have went in a better direction.

In my list of favourite TV seasons I've seen, Dexter S2 ranks #5; only 2 seasons of Breaking Bad, Homeland S1, The Wire S4, and Sons of Anarchy S2 rank ahead of it. Despite the weak finish it's among pretty elite company in my books...

To each their own, I guess... But, I always thought season 4 was by far the best Dexter season. I liked season 2 a lot, but Lithgow added a whole new dimension to the show. It was especially awesome after the show seemed to jump the shark with Jimmy Smits in season 3.
