The guy is so weird. Totally tanked the match like his bags were packed and he had a flight to catch out of NY. I feel bad for the fans that paid $$$ in anticipation of a good match.

Novak would probably be over 30 majors without Alcaraz and Sinner being around. LostGen was quite bad, but outside Alcaraz and Sinner NextNextGen aren't looking a whole lot better.

Missed opportunity for Fritz, I'd rate Novak's game tonight as 6.5 out of 10 and it still was more than enough to get the win.

Felix hurting himself in the first game. Some really bad stuff including a missed overhead. He just seems to start slow a lot. But he got away with it and did hit a couple of good forehands.
De Minaur as the 8 seed speaks to the general weakness of the field at the moment outside of the top 2 guys. Dude can get balls back in that he shouldn't but he just doesn't have a lot to his game.

Well, the Demon takes the opening set 6-4. Shaky set from Felix, Demon isn't doing anything special, to be fair he hit a few nice shots that hurt Felix, but Felix is his own worst enemy thus far today.
