Also, when Pasquotti moves on, Calgary Foothills had a 16 year old winger who played at a comparable level in PDL this year, Aribim Pepple. I think he'll be on Cavalry's first team sooner rather than later.
I suspect you are right about Pasquotti leaving in the offseason. I also suspect that unless the elusive salary cap goes up and there's some form of DP rule, at least 3 more will be going as well... which is only good for the league if the teams are getting transfer fees.
I've never seen Pepple play, but he sounds like a good add. Surprised no fullbacks have been added though.
I expect we'll see all the bench players start today, maybe even this new kid given how short we are on bodies. Unfortunately think the whole backline will be the same as vs Montreal since Northover and Waterman are out. Still, it's only Halifax. I predict our b team pulls out a win with secret weapon Minatel either scoring or setting up the goal.
Strong squad put out by Tommy. Surprised Ledgerwood isn't starting given he won't play Wednesday. Maybe Malonga and/or Brown come out at halftime if Cavalry are up.
Starting lineup is out. Looks like more of the regular starters than I was expecting. Pretty unusual to see Malonga and Brown both starting, as well as having Carducci instead of Gianstopolous. I'll stick by my prediction with Minatel as he has been very good lately.
I want to go to a game in Halifax someday. Their games look like fun, and I know Halifax is an awesome city.
My goal over the next few seasons is to catch a game in every CanPL stadium, as well as any MLS teams that Cavs are playing. Halifax is very high on the list due to how well supported and organized it looks.
Poor penalty. Could've been another penalty 10 mins ago.
Now Brown hurt, not ideal.
These points mean nothing today and still have far too many starters on.
Yeah, there's been a couple plays where he really looks like a boy against men. He'll grow into it though, may as well get some play time in games like this.
Deserved the win. Any time Cavalry went forward, especially down the wing, there was a decent chance.
This without much of a middle of a midfield, everything went wide or long.
Only when Halifax went full press, coupled some lazy ball movement and a bad choice by Carducci once to save a ball that was well wide, did Halifax get a run at the box.
Now full rest for the biggest game in the franchise, and league's existence.

As of this moment, Edmonton are top of the league on goal difference, with Cavalry having a game in hand. Not going to lie, I want an Al Classico final.
Tougher table for the summer season. We shouldn't be tying games with anyone right now, we need to be closing wins, especially against HFX, Pacific and Valour. Forge, York and FCE are going to be tough.
