I guess best to wait for preliminary information to come out.
Maybe, but flaps 5 for a long haul flight takeoff?
I am sure we will get more info soon, but it looks like it stalled.

As frequent flyers, I hate seeing news like that crash in India. My heart goes out to the family and friends of the 242 victims.

Even the survivor has to be feeling major survivor’s guilt, especially if he had loved ones on the flight too.

Yeah, I'll defer to the experts and 787 pilots on this stuff. Just chatter I was reading.
It's definitely a stall in that pitch up attitude, makes you sick to your stomach to see...

His brother was reportedly on the plane as well

If you want to see some C-17 action we've got 3 more USAF ones inbound from Andrews AFB.

Thanks, one just turned north over my house. For their downwind leg? Is that a thing for big jets?

These 3 will make for 8 in total I believe that we've had up to today. All sorts of equipment and staff on them.

Nice got to see that one too, though it veered west so was further away so didn't get as good a look at it. No idea where it's going doesn't seem to be going to the airport.
EDIT: Oh it turned so either it was showing off going over downtown, or do all helicopters have to approach YYC from the east? I guess that would make sense. There's a STARS helicopter too that looks like it just came from Edmonton, moving here for the weekend?
