My guess on why Sigalet and Gelinas stay as they were “Flames” guys. Blame probably fell soley on Gulutzans shoulders so him and his guys are gone. I would not imagine this means that Sigalet and Gelinas jobs are safe. Just that the Flames are trying to wash their hands completely of the old system and let the new coach come in and decide who to bring in and if he sees fit swap out Gelinas and/or Sigalet with his own choices once he’s here and can assess the situation.

Well then we would have to know by Friday, right? Otherwise Peters has opted in for Carolina? No worries folks, Brad's not gonna move that fast. It would be totally out of character.

I still don't believe this. If a coach wanted to boost CORSI he wouldn't play Troy Brouwer on the second line whenever someone went down. He would ship Matt Bartkowski to somewhere in Antarctica instead of mixing him into an NHL lineup for half a season.

I would say that Treliving didn't fire gully until he knew he was gonna get his new guy. Like a viper? Vipah? Too soon for Lowe jokes relating to the Flames.

This is getting more serious by the minute. Treliving has demonstrated that he is a smart and practical manager; is he really gonna make the SAME mistake twice?

Bill Peters is another coach without a playoff win. That much is certain. He might be able to direct this team to some of those wins, but as it stands today, he has not done that. Its reality, not armchair.

What would BT possibly see in Peters? This is baffling if true.

and if they DO hire Peters and I have to hear about how impressive he was in the interview, I'm gonna know that BT is not nearly as smart as everyone thinks.

Peters=Gulutzan based on coaching
And he’s worse with the media and doesn’t put confidence in his players (ok gully wasn’t great at the last part but at least he’s a bit nicer)
