I agree, I think that comment definitely hurt Clinton's chances. She seemed to recover from it briefly, and her performance in the debates put her back in the lead. But unfortunately the stupid email scandal wouldn't go away, and Comey's letter to the DOJ was probably the final nail in the coffin.
