Ya just came here to talk about that. Bautista lead off, Paredes at 2nd base. Honestly I am ok with them trying anything to get this line up going.
Barney and Goins on the bench is another bonus as well.

Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling
Last week several Blue Jays players (Bautista, EE, Martin, Donaldson) met to discuss ideas to help the team out of its offensive funk (1/2)
Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling
The group brought several suggestions to the Blue Jays coaching staff. One of them was the new batting order you see tonight. (2/2)

Bautista is great at drawing walks. Smoaks been one of their best hitters so far this season. Makes some sense to me.

That's a pretty massive compliment for Smoak, gotta hand it to him. I couldn't stand watching his ABs last year, but he's been one of the bright spots so far this season, hope he can keep it up!

That's actually a pretty optimal batting line-up. The guys who get on-base best at the top and the guys that don't at the bottom. Good lord it's nice to see Goins not in the line-up. Travis can't finish his rehab assignment soon enough.

So the odds of the Blue Jays making the playoffs has to be on par with the Raptors making the Finals, right?

Remember when we were railing on Smoak for 12 Ks in 13ABs? Now that he's actually getting base hits instead of just striking out or walking, his number are looking pretty good! Will be interested to see how this new lineup will work.

I heard a rumor that the NBA is thinking about calling the Raptors and Cavs series after three games in hopes that it will help the Cavaliers better compete with Golden State.
At least they'll let the Jays play out the string.

ohhh i am so in for this game tonight.
My prediction for next inning,
Tulo takes a first pitch strike
Russell swings at a change up in the dirt.

I was just assuming we were going down 1 2 3 and Pillar won't see the plate.

Fair enough.
I wish I had Tabler's unceasing optimism.
