I think the only points Monfls has won on Raonic's serve have been the two breaks? Crazy.

Le Monf is rolling right now, 9 straight wins on hardcourts including the DC title last week. Must be the goatee.

After a close, hard-fought first set between Stan The Man and Nishikori. This one's all but over now as Kei goes up 5-0 in set 2.

Stan lost a first set he really should have won, then flat out quit on the match. Pretty disappointing.

This is not the same Monfils I saw last night. Of course, the guy on the other side of the net makes a pretty big difference as well.

Shapovalov def Saville 76 76 last night.

weird schedule as Shapovalov plays Barriere (FRA) this afternoon while Bester and Polansky go tomorrow. No night action today (i think the women are playing)

both Polansky and Bester lost today.

Shapovalov is the last man standing. He plays Banguera (the guy who beat AA) in the late match Friday.

while everyone is watching the olympics, life continues on the tour.

The young american Tiafoe won Granby. He was drawn against Shapovalov first round in Gatineau but he pulled out due to injury so Shapovalov will get a Canadian lucky loser named Monette. Polansky and Auger Alissiame will play each other first round. Dancevic has advanced to Round 2.

Denis won his match and Polansky beat Felix in straights. Peliwo won his match and will play another Canadian whom I know nothing of, Philip Bester. Also since Rio is being effed with by rain, here's the finished US Open roof. Looks mighty slick I must say.

That's pretty impressive. The stadium is pretty massive in person.
