Raonic is frustrating. So many unforced errors. Not playing well except when he has serve.

Nishikori has really taken it to another level the last month or two, 3 straight finals, two wins and a 15-1 stretch. Hopefully Milos can find some inspiration from that because now Nishikori is a full level ahead of him, and Milos is now two full levels(at least) behind the Djokovic's and Nadal's of the world. Shouldn't spend more than 5 seconds working on the serve between now and Australia, get that return game to a level where breaks of serve become regular and not a surprise occurrence.

Full credit to Nishikori. but that said, Milos was right there with him earlier today. However, Milos can't be dumping 140 km/h second serves into the net either. I hope he's pissed about this loss because he could have taken the match today against Kei.

Looking at the draw for the Shanghai Rolex Masters, Nishikori and Dimitrov are on a collision course. If you are a fan of Milos, you're hoping for Kei in that match to limit the points for Grigor in qualifiying for London.

Also, Gasquet could do Milos a solid by eliminating Tomas Berdych.

Upsets galore in Shanghai, Nadal, Wawrinka, and Nishikori eliminated, and Milos forced to retire due to illness (fever and flu like symptoms apparently).

this post US Open Asian tour is even more of a train wreck than usual, on both men and womens sides. was this year's schedule that much more grueling than before? and why would Rafa decide to play through a fricking appendicitis? just shut it down.

It's the same. They moved the Bangkok Open to Shenzhen, China so if anything, it would have been less travel!

WTA Finals starts Monday and Genie got drawn into the much tougher group.
Red Group
Serena Williams
Simona Halep
Eugenie Bouchard
Ana Ivanovic
White Group
Maria Sharapova
Petra Kvitova
Agnieska Radwanska
Caroline Wozniacki
Still finally this year we get Genie and Serena guaranteed after having a few chances at it in the majors this year. If Genie can squeeze out 2 wins she'll most likely get through to the semis.

Also worth noting Milos is likely to be 10th in the rankings for the ATP World Tour Finals after today as Murray has already passed him and Ferrer could do the same. Looking like despite his strong season he'll fall short.

Genie loses easily to Halep 6-2, 6-3. Will need to beat Serena and Ivanovic for any chance to advance, highly unlikely she beats Serena after Halep beat her with no problem but I suppose anything can happen.

I'm no fan of Serena, but this is totally out of line.
The silence from the ITF has been pretty deafening,” she told a small group of reporters in Singapore ahead of the start of the WTA Finals on Monday.
“They are the ones who have actually the possibility of doing something as Tarpischev is head of the Russian Tennis Federation, which falls under the ITF and is also Fed Cup captain which falls under the ITF.
“The WTA has done all they can do. They certainly have shown they have Serena’s back and Venus’ back and he might have thought the comment was funny but it was anything but.
“Certainly this kind of bullying comment cannot be tolerated from anyone, but particularly from a high up official in the tennis world.”
Appearing on a chat show, the programme host said to Tarpishchev: “I was at the Olympics, where Maria Sharapova was in the final, playing with one, with one of the....” before the RTF head responded by saying “Williams brothers”.

Genie got a brief glimmer of hope when Halep trashed Serena 6-2, 6-0, only to get beaten handily by Ivanovic 6-1, 6-3 which ends any chance she had. Although clearly after two matches Genie has a long way to go to be a true top 10 player. Her ranking is absurdly over-inflated right now, no way in hell is she a top 5 player based of her actual play right now.
