You assume he'd leave after they won EL. The man simply has too much pride to do so, he'd definitely come back if they were in Champions League next year. Could have left on a high last year, but like that gambler who doesn't know when to walk away, he just let it ride. And if they win EL, he's gonna let it ride some more. I agree though that it'd be nice to see him leave on good terms and not in shame, quality man and for the first half of his time at Arsenal he was only behind Sir Alex as a manager, he just hasn't adapted to the changing times.

Absolutely embarrassing performance from United. What was the point of showing all that heart last week if you were going to show none today? Catching City was always gonna be impossible, but going down meekly to the worst team in the league is pathetic.

welp. Well that's 2018 United for you - no consistency and a lack of heart. Simply not good enough and an absolutely embarrassing effort today.

But fully deserved West Brom win. They'll surely be wondering why they didn't sack Pardew earlier, maybe had Moore had five more games they might be staying up.

Hilarious loss for United. Losing to West Brom in Trafford? Congrats City!

Oh it was all polishing the brass on the Titanic. Rip the bandaid off and now its over.

They didnt let City take it at home and now they delivered City's inevitable win in pretty much the least desirable manner possible.

Its almost as if a forward will create more chances and score more than a midfielder

So Liverpool win, United and Spuds lose.

If somehow City and Chelsea had also lost it would have been a great day but I can only ask the soccer Gods for so many Manchester Losses...

I think West Ham should be safe from relegation...just barely.

For a moment, I thought I would be the lone poster in the 2018-2019 EFL Championship thread!

Wolverhampton is back! My favourite team since the original Football Manager back in the 90's - always would start with Wolverhampton in the 4th division and take them to CL glory.

Can confirm. Vlad has (inexplicably) always been a Wolves fan.

Well, that was always my EPL team, absent Wolves, but I will cheer for Wolves over Chelsea.

Not Premier League related but.....

Quote:
Former Manchester City, Newcastle United, and Burnley midfielder Joey Barton will enter the world of management as coach of League One side Fleetwood Town after agreeing to a three-year contract on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old will replace current bench boss John Sheridan on June 2.

For shame sir. For shame.

For now I'm going to assume you're Australian and save the good people the shame of their association.

ha!

In all seriousness though, appointing a ######bag like Barton will hopefully be punished with relegation by the football gods.
