Did the Royals receive any discipline at all? I understand Gibbons getting a game as he came back on the field after he had already been tossed. Sanchez getting 3 games is absolutely atrocious however. Sanchez shouldn't have even been ejected from the original game in the first place.

1 game for Gibby is understandable, and expected. The Sanchez suspension is nothing short of a complete and utter joke. I'm actually pretty shocked he got anything at all. Terribly handled by the league.

Toronto Blue Jays ‏@BlueJays
Aaron Sanchez will appeal suspension from MLB.

The lesson here, apparently from #MLB to the #BlueJays this season is to get your intentional hit-by-pitches in before the other team does.

So Dombrowski is done as GM in Detroit. Lots of talk that the Jays are interested in having him take over for Paul Beeston as Jays President. Let's hope he had a great relationship with Price and could help convince him to stay in Toronto.

Not sure about how he'd help with Price... they were a long way apart on contract talks in Detroit.

Complete joke that Sanchez got suspended let alone three games. MLB should be looking at the piss poor job Jim Wolf did.

I think the Sanchez appeal will force that to happen actually.

Whatever happens though....that game could be a catalyst for a really good finish to the regular season and possibly the playoffs. We may be looking back at Sunday much like the way we look at the line brawl against the Canucks as a point where things changed for the better.

I'm not sure how teams really operate, but a lot of this I imagine is what team ownership levies downward with respect to budget. So Detroit probably couldn't afford him but made some last ditch efforts to sign him, without much chance considering he's in for a payday. Anyway, he played a part I'd think, in building a good team in Detroit over the years, so I imagine he's not a stupid guy to be having at the top. I don't know about how he'd do on the money making side being President and all.

Very well could be. Took a look at Trout's numbers. 4 years in a row he's either going to be the MVP or the runner up. Great year for Donaldson but I would be upset if Trout took it. Guy is crazy.

Is he just in a slump or what? He has been a free out ever since becoming a blue jay.

Wow, I really hope we can pass the Yankees and take the division. All this talk of claiming a wildcard spot had me thinking it was like the NHL.

I was surprised to see all a wildcard spot does is allow you to play the wildcard team to see who gets into the playoffs. That would be scary as ****, I don't know if my heart could that!
