David Beasley, the UN food program director and former Republican governor of South Carolina, said giving $6 billion, or 2% of Musk’s net worth, could help solve world hunger.
Musk responded on Twitter, writing, “If WFP can describe on this Twitter thread exactly how $6B will solve world hunger, I will sell Tesla stock right now and do it.”
So they followed through with a clear and transparent plan, willing to have open books, and Musk ghosted them and did nothing. He had a chance to contribute in a huge way to solving a catastrophe, and he showed exactly what kind of soulless blowhard he is.
but he got his ego hurt and then spend 44 billion on twitter justto use it to stroke his ego, spread racism, antisemitism and enabling violent conspiracy theorists.

I'm far from a Musk apologist(former fanboi) but in this case billions and billions are already being spent trying to solve world hunger and they haven't managed to do it. Another 6 billion thrown at it wasn't going to get us there either. That's what 80 cents for every person on earth, 8$ for every person in poverty? Yeah that 6 billion would barely make a dent.

I used to really admire Musk, I thought he was a really interesting, albeit weird guy.
Now it's kind of jarring to think that companies like Tesla and SpaceX are in his hands. Like, he's two strides off from being a super-villain at this point. I'm really invested in the work SpaceX does. I really hope he doesn't ruin that too.

Then why did musk offer the money then? He could have just as easily said what you did or kept his mouth shut.

Do you remember when there was that Occupy Olympic Plaza thing downtown a few years back? Corey Morgan and his genius wife were going around taking photos of feces and posting it. Like, you fataing weirdos. They just couldn't comprehend the City had to cross their Ts and dot their Is to get rid of those people properly, so they thought Nenshi was fataing up. It was so dumb I could barely believe it wasn't some sort of guerilla comedy thing.

The dumbest bit is how much he ####s on Calgary, and doesn't even live here. Like, sorry ####o, you don't get a say on tax dollars for bike lanes. Go complain about Pridis.

NYT says Musk is not paying rent on their head office or offices around the world, and has court docs that say Musk hasn't paid for almost $200k worth of charter flights when he first took over Twitter.
You know Elon if everyone works from home then you don't even need an office!

He's not a US-born citizen, so the constitution forbids him from running. Of course, if the constitution were to be discarded, as some GQP members want...

A Trump/Musk ticket (i.e. Elon for VP) would be my guess, if the GOP thought there was a way around the 'not being born in the US' thing.

Challenge it to the SCOTUS. Let them come up with some mental gymnastics to make Elon eligible.
