Brad gives up a first or he can get bent. I wouldn’t answer the phone from him unless it starts with a first. Done and over. I’d rather take a second from edmonton than a second from Brad.

I mean, you could probably pay Phil in pocket dogs and they are good enough to convince him lol
Plus he and Kads were buds back in the day; give him a chance and maybe it turns into a 4th or 5th in a month?

I liked having Jagr here, and I think that having Kessel here for a stretch would be pretty awesome as well.

I disagree with Lundells value there. Two years ago he put up 44 pts in 65 games as a 20 year old. This is EXACTLY the type of player Conroy should be targeting and if he is the center piece of a Hanifin trade I am all over it. Worth far more than a 2nd. If that was his value every team in the league would be ponying up.

I wasn't very impressed with his game this season and this seems to confirm it.

EDIT: here's the newer card

I'd be curious to hear CaliFlamesFan's(our FLA insider) take on Lundell.

I don't think this is a sign that conroy is leaky. He only took over last off season and look what CP insiders have got from him before announcements. I don't mean any offense by that, and I appreciate to read what they're hearing, but when it comes to actual moves our insiders are as in the dark as traditional media, when a trade goes down.
Or at best onto details and rumblings that are already floating around with media insiders, online. I think insiders takes on the Flames ,CP and elsewhere are actually a testament to Conroy.

I also believe Conroy is big on using media/sources/insiders to push confusion and narratives while negotiatiating/working trades. I love that. This isn't smiley, aw shucks, player Conroy. He's been ripening for this role for years.

I don’t know why anyone thinks the Flames should take back Vanicek in a trade with Jersey. The whole point it to dump one of our goaltenders to allow Wolf out of the AHL. I don’t see a point in getting Vanicek, you’d have to keep him, build him up to at best maybe flip him. We need Vladar and Wolf short term to get higher picks. It’s obvious imo, Markstrom needs to go with a top C the target. Marky for Mercer, and if you can fleece them grab their 1st. I don’t know who’d be upset at the 1 for 1. Retain to get the 1st added.

Really? I haven't seen anything that would indicate the Flames are leaky?
What have these "insiders" provided that has not come from the conjecture in the media? The "insiders" had nothing on the Zadorov trade. Completely missed it. The "insiders" also completely missed the Lindholm trade. That was broken hours early by a reddit user, but nothing here, not even a sniff of the players that could be involved that the media did not already beat to death. I've been quite surprised by Conroy being able to keep these deals under wraps considering the obvious list of players, just how many teams are involved, and how badly agents want to get their players moved. I haven't seen anything of consequence come from our "insiders" other than obvious proclamations and silly gifs. When one of them actually breaks something conclusively and with actual details, then I'll buy there is inside information and not just extrapolated conjecture that everyone makes. As it is, we know whose names are out there because of contract status or elevated level of play. That doesn't have to be leaked.

I'm sure a pick and a prospect really warms Florida's heart while in a cup window. Lol.

Should have been clearer. That is what I think his value is and that is how I would look at it if I was Conroy and that was a piece coming back in a Hanifin trade. Lundell at best is worth two seconds. So what needs to be added to two seconds to get Hanifin. I actually don’t think Florida makes a lot of sense because they don’t have what the Flames would want. Lundell as a centerpiece of the trade would be underwhelming, Lundell as part of a 3 or 4 asset trade would be more appropriate. Just not sure what those other assets in Florida are.

Yeah, also Lundell is 22. One year younger than Pelletier, same age as Zary. He is having a bad year but in no way they are giving up on him for picks.

The Flames didn’t give up on Bennett until his 7th year. Lundell is in his 3rd year. If they think Lundell is a disappointment, why do they want Stromgren who is one year younger and can’t even produce in the AHL
They may trade him but we have to give up something they really need now

Beautifully Written. The gif guy is the worst. It doesn’t even make sense when he does post a gif. The first thing he has to do every day is post the information from his source on Calgarypuck or he’s full of ####. His insiders must text him days before these things happen and he keeps the information from us what a piece of ####. I think we should ban him.
