WARNING: DO NOT read the shaw synopsis for next weeks episode. What appears to be a major spoiler.
you've been warned.
They've decided to cancel this season, and instead start from scratch for only the last three episodes? That's what they probably should do, season eight needs to be blown up even more than the Flames needed to be.
do ya suppose that there could be another twist in store here? Somehow Dexter and Deb frame Vogel and her son by planting something on Vogels computer? Something that exonerates Hanna suggests that Vogels son killed Laguerta, and allows them to live happily ever after?
There's an extra line on my shaw box. Well there was last night. Maybe they changed it.
No, it's still there (quote from Movie Central's episode description in spoilers)...
Spoiler!
Quote:
With help from Dr. Vogel, Dexter tries to lure the Brain Surgeon to a location in order to get him on his table. In the end, an important person in Dexter’s life is murdered before his eyes.
Extra spoileryer speculation...
Spoiler!
If you go to IMDB, they have episode photos for the remaining episodes, and they show Dexter with Deb, Harrison, Hannah, and Angel's sister from the episode two weeks from now. There are no photos of Vogel from the final two episodes, so I'm guessing she's the one who will die next week.
Angel also isn't in any of the photos from those two either, so it's possible he dies, but I don't know if he qualifies as an important person in Dexter's life.

What the heck was up with that spyware crap? Can you really use the spyware someone else was using, and then turn it on them in a matter of seconds in order to check their computer? And if he could, why didn't he bother to do that a few episodes ago when he knew Oliver was spying on her computer?
There has been so many ridiculous moments, it's making it really hard to appreciate anything in this season. Oh and I doubt I am the only one, but did anyone else just not give a crap when Vogel died? Dexter seemed to suffer more from her death than Rita's, which was nonsensical to say the least.
I do hope Debra and Quinn end up together though, she's really the only character that deserves a "happy ending" of sorts.

I just think it's brutal that the "end boss" is some dude that we just met a few episodes ago. The main tension should be Dexter avoiding getting caught. I don't see this season building to this at all. The marshal guy could conceivably catch him in the act of killing someone, but he doesn't suspect him as a serial killer - he suspects him of aiding and abetting one.
The drama with Deb almost "confessing" was forgotten about immediately and nothing came of it. No sense of urgency.
He'll either end up happy in Argentina or sad that Hannah is gone (and maybe deb and harrison). Hannah killing him would be a better ending, but would feel a bit cheap.
Ghost Harry is terrible. Spyware thing was funny. Also lol'd at Harrison falling.

That's what pisses me off about this season. I thought for sure that Miami PD/Angel/Captain would have gotten wind of Dexter's doings and would have found some sort of evidence that he was in fact the Bay Harbour butcher. It would have been sweet if there was some type of buildup leading up to this. Instead, its some random dude who we all know is going to die exactly how every other single bad guy has died in this show; on Dexter's table. Can't wait till this garbage is over.
I was just glad Vogel finally is done, at first her character was intriguing but over the past 3 episodes she just became totally annoying for me to watch. It should be interesting to see how Dexter aiding and abetting Hannah and Deb indirectly keeping it from Miami Metro is going to play out.
Reading this thread is depressing, for years the only interesting thing I thought they could do with this show would be Dexter's downfall, but you guys make it sound like they've completely screwed the pooch on it.
