Love him or hate him, there's no denying Ohtani's greatness. GOATani?

It’s alright. Ohtani isn’t unhittable. To get two guys on builds confidence. We’ll be fine.

Are these seriously the best umps the MLB has to offer?

Clear ball on Ohtani, then Bieber comes back with a clear strike........both missed.

I don't think umps have any bias they are just inconsistent.
But it sucks because it penalizes the player for performing at their peak.
When a batter takes a close pitch that is a ball, but it's called a strike, they've done the right thing and shown a great eye but are punished for it. When a pitcher paints the corner and it gets called a ball they are punished for executing their pitch with precision.

It penalizes players at their best.

Attacking the zone right away. Can’t go wrong getting ahead in the count.

The Jays were known all season as a team that would be patient and make the opposition starters throw a lot of quality pitches.

Not tonight. Way too many swinging at the first pitch.

Automated ball & strike calls can't come soon enough.

It would be nice to find holes like that sometimes. It's always has to be hit right at a player.

You know.. I think there is a bit of a missed opportunity here for the Blue Jays.

So many new fans watching right now - I think they should do a bit more with segments to explain the rules and game.

Even yesterday, something as simple as Kershaw was able to no longer pitch because you have to face 3 batters or end of inning.

This is an opportunity for the Blue Jays to bring on tons more lifelong fans.
