The Bourne series are the best action movies since the turn of the century in my opinion (with perhaps Casino Royale) because there is as much suspense as there is action. Other action movies don't have the same intensity and are usually mindless and excessive, or try the comedy angle which is very hit and miss. The fighting and hand to hand combat in those films is so well choreographed too and is the only movies that come close for that is 007.
Greengrass and Damon of the first three are back, so yeah...just shut up and take my money!
Totally agree. I remember watching Identity as a 13 year old and it instantly became my favorite movie.
I think the suspense is largely driven by a lack of soundtrack, particularly during the hand to hand combat. And the way Greengrass films makes you feel like you're actually in the action (although he can get a little overzealous on the shakycam at times).

Looks good, though the Vegas scenes at the end worry me a bit... Bourne was so refreshing in part because it was more gritty than flashy, and those Vegas scenes looked like total flash.

Feel the same way. Hoping the trailer is just a product of the Hollywood marketing machine. A drawn out flashy Vegas chase scene seems uncharacteristic of the series and of Greengrass. In Damon and Greengrass we trust.
