Is that better or worse than the myriad low-content, circlejerk thanks whoring posts?
Or the ones that drag up days old drama for undetermined reasons?

Also adding in a reference to some hyper esoteric internet subculture that no one gives a #### about.

Well, I'm the last person on earth to tell someone else how to live, but now that online is almost equal to real life I'd suggest not looking at other sh**ty people as the bar. Just try to be a positive contributor. I've been doing a lot of reading trying to be more positive and strong and have come a hell of long way.
One important thing is to look at your positives and highlight them. For you?
1. Humour - Dry cutting wit that cracks people up
2. Knowledgeable
3. Empathetic to people with mental illness, disabilities
Highlight those in positive ways. Ditch the shots at the board and groups of people. That's just my opinion, but feel free to disregard as you didn't really ask for it.

Honestly I appreciate this post. Thank you.
I 100% understand I paint my own target, but I truly feel that the generally dissenting voices on here are necessary, and often are shouted down. I've mentioned before that I've long given up trying to have lengthy discussions, and I don't feel alone in that either.
That said, you are correct. Being a positive contributor is certainly more difficult for me than the reverse; if you can believe it, with years of therapy I'm actually far less of a general ####### than I used to be. Thanks again for seeing beyond our past disagreements; it's nice to see growth.

Also in the news today, white conservatives getting mad on twitter because a PoC was cast as Ariel in the live-action Little Mermaid remake. At least they don't get triggered easily, unlike us libtards.

It is ridiculous though. Can anyone honestly say they've seen a black mermaid in real life? Come on!

Holy ####. I heard the headline and peripheral information about the case but I thought it was a case of a young man hooking up with a young woman at a party, who didn't understand drinking causes impairment and the young woman was borderline drunk and not able to consent. Not defending that at all but I thought it was a situation where a young man didn't understand his actions and a lot more nuisance in determining if it was of a predatory nature of a juvenile.
I didn't realize this about a full on passed out woman and the disgusting vile person knowingly raping her.
Quote:
At one point, according to documents, he texted friends: "[w]hen your first time having sex was rape."
|
It's astonishing to me that the defendant knew it was rape but somehow this piece of #### judge didn't.
Quote:
In his denial, Judge James Troiano of Monmouth County Superior Court said the boy's actions were not predatory and not necessarily rape because "traditional" rape cases involve "two or more generally males involved, either at gunpoint or weapon, clearly manhandling a person."

Seriously though, who is getting mad? Like 6 people? There was more outrage when they cast a blond actor to play James Bond.

It only takes 6 people with thousands of followers with no thought of their own to cause the drama.

As Ontario moves into its third year of strict vaccination rules and B.C. legislates reporting requirements for students, Alberta’s new UCP government will maintain the status quo, which easily allows non-immunized students to attend public schools.

Anti-vaxx idiots win and immuno-compromised children will be put at risk because of their negligence.
Crunchy anti-vaxx leftists find strange bedfellows in personal freedom obsessed conservatives. Thanks UCP.

They cant win.
If they force people to get vaccinated they're socially regressive Fascists.
If they let people make their own decisions then they're negligent anti-vaxx idiots.
You were going to be pissed no matter what they did. So just embrace and enjoy it! You wanted to be upset and they obliged you. You're at the finish line!

Why would I want them to allow un-vaccinated children into schools?
They aren't forcing it on anyone, just saying that un-vaccinated children are a danger to immuno-compromised kids so have fun home schooling.
Public health is more important than ideology but thanks for coming out.
