Not sure I understand the move. Kyrou's had a pretty miserable season and he always seems to be on the block. SJ has been breaking in Chernyshov on RW and they also have Toffoli (who is outproducing Kyrou by a lot) on the second line RW. And they have Smith coming back.

The issue with our defence atm that I can tell is Weegs/Kuzy is a good pairing, Zayne needs a solid partner, and imo needs to be sheltered on the third pairing, but have a steady beast beside him and Hanley isn’t that guy.

I would roll Weegs/Kuzy as first pairing after the trade, Bahl with Bruz, and then Parekh on the third pairing, but you need to have someone else there beside him that’s not named Hanley or Pachal.

Depth is nice, but those two guys one needs to be moved and the other needs to be eating popcorn.

That’s why a Dallas trade for me for Bishcel would be ideal because he’s a monster that can play with Zayne 5on5 and then let the kid run the PP to get the rest of his minutes up. Let Bruz run PP2 and use the other 4 guys on the PK

Hanley isn't the guy long term for sure, but with a very limited and sheltered sample size he and Parekh have been 74% in play driving this year.

Hanley has good numbers with all of Parekh, Pachal, Weegar and Brzustewicz to be honest.

He's pretty air tight (struggled with Pachal last night)

St. Louis likely sees an asset they can get a good haul for, and a desire to maximize draft position this year.

The insiders have said CC has "full authority do do what he sees as best for the franchise" in his role as GM. Being allowed autonomy on trading a pending UFA is a far cry from "full authority".

I guess if they don't think they are winning with this core it makes sense to tear down proactively too. Just find it surprising they wouldn't start with the older guys, but maybe there is no market!

Somebody I know that's heard stuff in the past said they'd be surprised if anything was done today, but that they wouldn't be surprised if there was a move by the end of the week.

Feels like whatever the strategy has been with Andersson is in the final push here this week.

We can probably just rely on what has been said (along with what appears to be the case from Conroy’s actions since he became GM) and assume it is a hands off ownership group that lets CC make the decisions. diss said transactions plural so that would be more than just Rasmus. We can also probably rely on Royle when he says that Conroy has full authority to do what he feels is best for the franchise. Safe to say Murray is pretty hands off.

Craig's set the price, ownership are aware of the price and good with it as well.
Should the price need to shift, I'm sure the two would chat, but Craig has full authority to do as he feels is best for the franchise.

So what I think you're trying to say here is: he can move anyone, subject to ME approval, and if it isn't going to jeopardize their playoff chances.

The Kadri comments are why we should be very careful moving him out unless it is a phenomenal return.

He was exactly the same the World Juniors. If you remember his. He was trying to go 1 on 4 and win it all himself. He refused to shake hands with a Swiss player and had to apologize.

He is EXACTLY the type of vet you want to have around Parekh (and other young cocky players). He lived the experience. He made a ton of mistakes with Toronto in the playoffs and learned how to deal with it in front of a sometimes hostile Canadian market media.

I think we should be wary of moving him at this point.
