Not ideal but that's the lineup I would have gone with. I have a lot of faith in Lukes. Even last night the moment wasn't too big for him. Hit the ball well a couple of times. And he knows his job is to set the table for Vladdy.

Really sucks about springer but the lineup looks as good as expected. Everyone shifted up a spot and IKF slotting in at the bottom. I wouldn't be surprised if it's close late to see Springer pinch hit.

Because if you can swap guys in and out, teams would just play a defensive team in the field, then an offensive team for batting. Then there would be no lineup management

I think they could have moved the DH player into the field and forfeited their DH.
If they needed to play a pitcher in the field I think you'd use one of the starters (eg Yesavage/Gausman, who would be very unlikely to pitch anyway.

Anthems are pointless fir sporting events but where do they find these terrible singers?

I was hoping Deborah Cox would do the anthem justice but then she tried to turn it into a song.

So many talented Canadians in California, and they pick these?

So I went to bed in the 12th. Saw the final, can't comment on what happened, so I'm just going to say what I did last time:
It's a seven game series.

But you would have needed a pitcher to finish Gimenez's at bat.

Jays should ask Rosanne if she’ll sing the US anthem for game 6. And Carl Lewis for game 7.

Jays can't buy a break it feels like. Starting right where they left off.

Ohtani is attacking the zone. Hope Bieber doesn’t monkey around and do the same.

Had something going, then pop-out. Feels familiar.

Too bad Kirk couldn't put a ball in play, would have been great for their confidence to get an early lead.
Do they walk Ohtani right away? I'm guessing Bieber pitches to him to start.
