Team came back hard. Sure Morocco sat back. Borjan with an inexcusable play and touch and not being big on the second goal.
Have to take your chances in the WC. Tie vs Belgium and today's game and even the Croatian game would've had a different mentality.
Need a stronger midfiled, plain and simple. Not sure where that will come from but it cost us the Croatian game and having that control would've given is better distribution to our abover average wingers and forwards.
Herdman has to be back for 2026 or we will regress.
Proud of all the players, the Belgium game stings for what should and could've been.
I noticed the push on Johnson in the highlights. Why no VAR review for a penalty?

This is one of the most frustrating things about VAR. That's got to be the most obvious penalty, which pretty clearly was a good chance for a goal and just nothing.
And I don't have the sound on, but what happened in Ghana and Uruguay? They called offside (it looks like) and then suddenly they're reviewing a foul that took place after that offside?
VAR just showed that it was actually onside on the original shot. Well done with the quick explanation, that is how they should always clear things up.
Man...I have been so unimpressed by the commentary this WC.
Buddy saying Ghana's PK was one of the weakest he's ever seen...no, not really. That was gonna hit side netting. Generally if you hit side netting with some pace, you're gonna score. The keeper just happened to guess right and stretch out very well to make a great save. The shot was on the ground, making the keeper go to the ground.
The only "weak" part of it was perhaps the fact that he apparently always shoots to the right on PKs, so the scouting report was out. But from an execution standpoint...that's a well taken PK.

Keeper made it look easy, so that probably factors in.
For sure. He got an amazing jump on it. Read him like a book. If the commentator knew he typically shoots that way, then surely the keeper did as well...which is why I said maybe that's the only "weak" part, but in terms of picking his spot and hitting it with pace...it was bang on.

i would disagree that he hit it with pace. That was a weak shot as far as penalties go, probably due to his stupid stutter step run up. He could have hit it with way more pace and given the keeper less time to react.
