I believe it. Just the simple layman explanation makes a ton of sense to anyone who has taken university level biology/anatomy classes.

As for Gruden, does anyone else REALLY like him in the booth. I think he's hilarious. He'll be gone next year of course, but I like the knowledge/comedy aspect. It's like if Dennis Miller knew something about football when he was on MNF.

And congratulations to CBS' Gus Johnson, who has won the "Moron Broadcaster" award for week 8.

Tennessee running back Chris Johnson broke a 52-yard touchdown run on Sunday, which is the kind of thing you can't do without excellent foot speed. That kind of speed, Gus Johnson calls "Gettin' away from the cops" speed.

If Gus were white, he would be crucified.

I was sayin to my buddy during that MNF game this past week that he's quickly becoming my favourite colour guy in the league. What a beauty. I love the energy! Doesn't hurt that he was getting a boner over the Saints the whole game, haha I'd have actually been annoyed if I were a Falcons fan listening to that for 4 hours.

He's apparently good friends with Sean Payton and he visited Saints TC a few times so I can see why he has so many good vibes for them.

The Colts are 7-0 for the fourth time in the last 5 years with last year being the only exception when Manning missed training camp.

I heard yesterday that they have won 108 games so far this decade and the record for wins in a decade is 112 held by the Niners during the 1990's. I have to think they'll easily win 5 more games this year to break that mark. I guess thats what happens when you have a guy like Peyton Manning start every game for you in that decade.

To me they've been like the Atlanta Braves of the NFL. Win a lot in the regular season and they have won a championship. But when you see all those wins and regular season success it's hard to believe that they've only been to the one Superbowl. Even this year I still can't be convinced that they would beat the Steelers or Patriots in the playoffs. I suppose thats a reason why they say you position yourself in the first 3/4's of the season and hope to make a run in that last quarter.

They got stuck in a conference with a lot of great teams; Steelers and Patriots primarily.

Even the Niners, in the 1990s they went to the playoffs 8 times but only won one Superbowl. They ran into teams like the Giants, then the Aikman lead Cowboys, and then Favre's Packers.

You can be the best team over a long period and still be eclipsed by teams that put together a few solid years.

Didn't see it mentioned, the Broncos signed Ty Law today pending a physical. Rumour on the radio here is that it's Hillis that'll be cut to make space for him.

Hagler, Jackson, Sanders out for the year. Hayden is now out 1 month..........man that is 4 starting defenders out. On offense,Gonzalez had surgery today and is out 3 more weeks. Vinatieri is out another month.

Injuries are starting to pile up (especially on d). Sanders hasn't been in the lineup the past 2 years so I don't really count him(was phenomenal in 2007 as the defensive player of the year but is the Peter Forsberg of the NFL), but Hagler is a big loss.

Good thing we are 7-0. With all the injuries I can see a 13-3 record to finish the year. Hopefully that will be good enough to be the best record in the AFC and have home field in the playoffs.

Another gigantic mistake by McDaniels.

They can't find someone less talented than Hillis to cut? Lamont Jordan anyone?

He's proven me wrong at every turn, and I totally get adding a guy like Law...especially given the team's record, but Hillis is a player.

EDIT>>>My computer has no sound (long story) bud judging from the reaction to a McDaniels radio interview today it will definitely not be Peyton Hillis that is cut. I'm on board now.

CONFIRMED: Broncos release CB Jack Williams to make room for Law. I should've known McDaniels wouldn't release Hillis.

This is the biggest test to date of the season for the Colts! I watch every Colts game but this is the most excited i've been for a game this season due to the opponent. Top 2 rated offensive teams going at it! Should be a good game!

PS...........just watching the pregame show on ESPN and they are talking about the 2004 draft where Manning (Eli) was drafted by the Chargers and Rivers was drafted by the Giants and they made an instant swap for each other. I wonder how things would have worked out had they not made the trade. Roethlisberger also went in the 2004 draft. 3 pretty good QB's in that draft.

BAH HA. Ochocinco sent the Ravens a couple cases of deodorant today so they smell good when they are close to him when they cover him.

What's going on with McGahee? He hasn't done anything for a few games now.

Cedric Beson with 50+ first half rushing yards agaisnt the Ravens. This after he was the guy to break the 40 game streak of not allowing a 100 yard rusher.

The Cardinals continue to look like World beaters on the road as they're pounding the Bears pretty good. That idiot Jim Miller picks the Bears to win every week on NFL radio....guess what Miller, they Bears who are we thought they were! No one's letting them off the hook. Miller also picked the Skins to beat the Falcons. He must be suffering from head trauma.
