Haha, just what I thought, wow, a full yard offside and just standing there...embarrassing.

I wonder if Awe was one of the players yelling, he seemed pretty pissed multiple times during the game.

That's not the first time this season that we've heard of some locker room issues. Obviously a very frustrated and angry team that is far from unified.

Last night was the first I've been at a game vs the Riders. It was a fun atmosphere. My boy couldn't believe how much green there was.

Last night also showed us Maier's season in a game. The first half was just awful, and it didn't help that his receivers dropped a couple of very catchable paases. In the 2nd half, he was excellent.

The game also exposed bigger problems than Maier. That defensive effort was embarrassing. No pass rush, couldn't stop the run, poor tackling, multiple blown coverages. IMO, that is more than a coaching problem.

It's hard to make a case that Dave, Monson, or Killam should be back as all three units have been poor this season. Hard to choose a specific unit that's been worst as they are all at the bottom of the league statistically especially the defense that's given up almost 7 yards per carry on the season which to me is one of the more glaring team stats as it's no wonder they have only 4 wins when they give up that much yards on every opponents carry. Last night looked to me like a defense that just didn't want the game as much as the Riders offense as they just wilted just as they did vs the Eskimos and that's now 3 of the last 4 games where the defense has surrendered over 400+ yards defensively. Not going to win a lot of games when the defense can't get off the field.

Also Dave's play call on 3rd and 1 with the game on the line was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen from a Stampeders team. I don't know what Stevens has to do to prove to Dave that he should get more usage in the offense as the guy broke a short yardage run for a TD early in the game but for whatever reason he can't trust him to get a yard with the season on the line and calls a passing play out of the shotgun which to nobody's surprise was a catastrophic failure.

He’s out coaching himself like always. Don’t believe in doing what the D knows you’re going to do and do it anyways. He’s coaching to get himself fired (unintentionally). He hitches his horse to a QB and won’t choose the team over the player. And when he finally changes it’s much too late.

If he would make the tough decisions (in game, recognize a player(s) are not getting it done) he would prove his mettle as a HC which also means recognizing the OC play calling is awful so change who calls the plays and what plays you have! Also recognize your D sucks and make the in game adjustments, or the DC adjustments. The HC is failing the team over his loyalty to certain people. Which ultimately means he is the one who will be fortunate to coach out the season - but he has to be fired now because of his blind loyalty. Players see through it and are done.

I think it's over for him as an offensive play caller. If he doesn't want to step down as head coach he needs to at least hand off the offense and play caller duties as his play calling quite frankly is terrible. Heck he just may get fired outright the way the season is going.

Maier is hot garbage. Yes, he can complete a few passes, but his brain functions at about half speed, he has the arm strength of a 90 year old, and the mobility of a tree.

Dickinson should be fired from all his jobs. 3rd and 1 and you have the best short yardage QB on your team, but you leave in the brain dead idiot who can’t help but throw at least 1 INT a game and leave him in shot gun. Pathetic.

This entire team is a waste of time.

So the Elks, facing something other than Monson's pop gun defence, put up a grand total of zero points in the first half.

I love hearing the disappointment in Dustin Nielson's voice.

Well the good news is the Stamps are on a bye this week, so I don't have to watch what has become unwatchable football.

You want to go with the QB that gives you the best chance of winning the game regardless of what it reads on their birth certificate. The Elks are still in playoff contention and Tre Ford did not have a good outing last game. I'm not surprised that they're going back to MBT.
