Oh, did the locker room time bomb finally go off?

Who could've seen that coming..

Almost like there are side effects that come with fishing in the league's doghouse.

Can't imagine how toxic the off ice atmosphere is with Perry thrown into the mix as well. If those two butt heads? Yikes

You love to see it.

They look like two guys that take their privileged lifestyles completely for granted.

That was never lost on players like Crosby.

The more time goes on, and the more anecdotal stories I hear, I really think Connor is out of there as soon as possible.

Kenny needs to step up right now for this playoff run, it could unravel there as soon as this summer. The rise in cap does absolutely nothing to help them since they have bonuses to Brown and etc that offset any gain.

The Oilers are on a verge of a very dark dark time, they will be do naive and proud to actually deal Draisaitl or Mavi for any assets............ because how could they not want to be part of the Oilers.....

They can't get it done and will be back dumpster diving and lottery living as early as next season.

Notice how the gang at Sportsnet have never commented on it either. It's ridiculous. I figured Bieksa would be the one guy who might actually call it out once in a while, but I've never heard him do it.
Players need to drop the stick when he grabs on to it. It is a penalty to participate in the play with 2 sticks. So if he is driving to the net and grabs the defenders stick and the defender lets go, it should be an automatic 2 minute penalty.

Even if the ref missed it that instance, I think his actions doing that would be much more scrutinized going forward, especially if he scored on that play.

I'm less sold on it.

Treliving doesn't have the foresight to keep cap space open to be able to potentially sign McDavid as a UFA in 2 seasons.

Not with that attitude lol… I want McDavid jettisoned into the sun but I’ll settle for him going east. Please hockey gods, we beg of you.

To me the only team he would walk as a UFA for would be the Leafs.

Oilers will throw a max contract at him to try to get him to stay if needed.

So if he's going to leave it will have to be to the Leafs.

Could see Rangers as well. He loves attention and that is one of the biggest stages (along with Toronto).

Also aligns with Panarin's contract coming off their books.

The Oilers would probably offer to build him a Howard Huges type suite in the JW Marriott so he never has to see anyone in sweatpants and good shoes on his off day again.

The victim complex of this franchise knows no bounds.
It's funny how strong he is on his skates and hard to knock down when he wants to be, but then falls with even the slightest of contact when he is losing a battle or giving the puck away.

I'd love to see what contract Leafs have to move out to fit McDiver in.

With the Leafs that threat is very real. Going into that 26-27 season, they only have around 36M committed (Matthews, Nylander, Kampf, Rielly). They will extend Marner after next season to near what Nylander is, so say around 47M.

Although, full panic mode will settle in up North if one of Marner or Nylander are traded or not on the roster going into McDavid's last year.

But will they build him a basketball court in a room with a ridiculously low ceiling? That could be the deciding factor, you know.

They might build him his own institute for kids who can’t read good.

That's ok, he'll just settle for a beach mansion in south Florida.

League is going to need to look into putting more teams in Florida to accommodate all the players that want to play there.

Easy peasy.

Put a bill through the Florida legislature, proclaiming that for the purposes of hockey only, Florida is annexing Canada. Then all the Canadian teams will be technically located in Florida, and players will be required to want to play here.

For bonus points, Tkachuk can tool around Winnipeg in a golf cart, wearing a Hawaiian shirt and shorts – in January.

Global warming may be of benefit when Florida is 70 degrees.
