Honestly...this should have been the move for Philly, the Flames, and Gaudreau's camp.
Philly needed cap room for Gaudreau.
Flames have reportedly like Konecny for a while.
Gaudreau (IMO) always had Philly at the top of his list.
Signed Gaudreau x 8 years for Konecny.
Gross and camp should have went to Treliving earlier to say "Philly is where he wants to be, let's see if we can make something work for all sides"

If Coleman is the replacement for Johnny hockey’s production I bet you’re saying goodbye to Tkachuk after this season.

Konecky should be totally available and Chuck Fletcher is in charge, he'll probably want Lucic for him lol.

If we're saying good bye to Tkachuk after next season we had better be saying good bye to Tkachuk BEFORE next season even starts.

This. Vegas just gave away Pacioretty for nothing. The circumstances were a bit different because teams knew they needed to shed salary, but it's not like there's a lot of teams with space to add salary at this point of the off season. Monahan's expiring contract isn't going to entice anyone at the deadline.

Pacioretty is similar to Monahan not Markstrom and Lindholm though
Monahan could actually be worth a shot for some team though...might be a player, might be LTIR, one year left...not much risk

Pacioretty was still a PPG player the last two seasons even with some injury issues, he's much more valuable than Monahan at this point.
Lindholm (good contract) is coming off a great season so he would have had value, and centers always command a premium.
Markstrom would have had value before the draft, probably lower now that the goalie carosel has almost stopped moving.

I’d say the Markstrom value is higher if some teams missed out on some targets.

Until Murray, Cambell, ect. Choke and their GMs Job is on the line. Markstroms contract looks better than ever

Vegas is signing Spencer Foo. Spent three years in the KHL, played for China in the Olympics, now back to NA.

In terms of injuries, yes, but Pacioretty has been over a PPG thew last two years while he's played.
Monny has been a huge liability when he has played.
Monny carries an over $6M cap risk. And cap is King these days.

Sports radio in San Jose saying Kadri had offers and presentations from as many as 10 teams.
Adrian Dater and others in Colorado saying that Kadri's main goals are to remain a member of the Avalanche.

If nothing else, it shows some loyalty to the orgs he's a part of. His main goal when he was on the block for TO was to remain with that team as well.

Not that I think the Flames will blow it up, but if they did there would be teams that would be willing to throw a bunch of prospects the Flames way for Lindholm.
I could see the Wild backing up a load of prospects/picks if the Flames took Dumba off their hands if they could get their hands on two years of Lindholm on their top line at 4.8 million. Nobody is going to say they don’t have other contracts they can move out if a 70 point, Selke quality center becomes available.
