Most likely a fly-by for the Battle of the Atlantic celebration.

Oh to live the private jet life and have a Gulfstream 650 to take you from Calgary to China, only for it to have flap issues and cause you to get a tour around the Calgary area to burn off fuel before landing. One wonders if food and beverage service are being provided while circling around?

4 hours and 15 minutes of going around in circles and still haven't landed yet... what a nightmare.

Unique visitors for the upcoming G7 summit are starting, we have a Luftwaffe A350 inbound from Berlin right now, possibly bringing people for the Finance meetings that are underway today for the next few days:

Timing is everything. 85 years ago this would be a terrifying sentence...

My place in Seattle overlooks Boeing Field. One of the 779 test planes has been flying around the past couple weeks. That thing is absolutely massive and is it ever quiet. Normally you think big plane, big noise, but this plane is weirdly quiet.

Has the field crashed into you yet?

That would be some very bad piloting as I'm due west of the runway.

Have you ever tried flying a field?

Is runway 11 working overtime tonight trying to clear a backlog? I think I am directly under the path and hearing planes every 5 minutes taking off.

Runway 29 you mean? Looks like they were using it around that time last night, and only it. Probably wind related if anything.

I don’t think it’s that windy today, but back to the constant planes taking off and flying 5000ft overhead.
Oh well, not complaining, just seems interesting how often they take off one after another.

With the west runway closed, they’re using 29 for departures and 35R for arrivals to increase the amount of traffic they can handle.

What could have been going on with WS280 from Kelowna today? Coming into Calgary, it did one holding pattern/loop just after clearing the mountains. The sky was clear and there wasn't a lot of traffic.
