Dybala not getting any run at this world cup is a crime.

Yup just brutal.

“We need two goals better bring on Meza instead of Dybala”

To not even try a "#### it, why not?" lineup of Messi-Aguero-Dybala seems wasteful. The Argentina midfield is poor, might as well put as much firepower as you can.

How this game hasn’t had a red card is beyond me

That was a fun reffing sequence, the surefire yellow card isn't called.

Hadn't watched France until today's game and really like the cut of their jib.

I'm hoping for a France-Croatia final now.

98-06 France were really likeable. 07-14 they were really hateable, now they’re likeable again. Their rugby team is the same way. Peaks and valleys, little in between. They have a good mix of the solid, well rounded players and game breakers, and are playing cohesively to boot. They’re definitely capable of going all the way.

This is like in golf when you turn it over around the corner. Just beautiful.

If you watch the full replay, a defender gets a toe to it just before it reaches him, so Pavard has to adjust his angle and his speed.

Given it’s a right back, and not a goal scorer (I have full experience with both), that probably played to his advantage. Had the ball fallen as it was supposed to, he was already thinking about where he wanted it to go and would’ve blasted it 10 yards over. Instead with the deflection he has to react with his body to get his timing right and foot behind it and not have the time to think.

What a game. France looks really strong.

I am hoping it is a france vs spain final. I will be in Barcelona for the final and it would be absolutely bonkers.

Also I wish Wenger had been able to lure Mbappe. It would have been a treat to watch him play for Arsenal.

Lol those tweets are hilarious, some dark years ahead for Argentinian football. Lots are talking about Dybala not being used but not even trying Los Celso was so naive when you need more creativity in the midfield. Also, no Icardi to top it off.

Argentina never stays with the same front line and formation so no chemistry is ever built. Can’t believe they were throwing Meza out there over some of the guys they have.

This is good Pogba today too. Lots of great passes from the midfield.
Lots of credit to Giroud as well, he set that on a platter for him with a perfect touch.

But for me, that Pavard goal is the highlight, what a thing of beauty.

What a game! I didnt really have a horse in the race other than wanting to see Argentina eliminated but that match had it all.

Argentina were a complete shambles, unbelievable considering the talent they had at their disposal. Crazy decisions by the coach.

What to say about Messi? As much as I criticize him he was really the only highlight for Argentina, always involved but you could tell by his body language that he cut a pretty frustrated figure. He was basically relied upon to do everything by himself, for his sake I hope he hangs them up for Argentina after this.

Oh...and Mercado and Otamendi are a National Disgrace.

Now....what are the betting odds on Suarez biting Pepe? If I were the ref I would probably just look the other way...

Rojo was equally as bad this game, they need a leader in the back and they just don’t have one.
