Destiny 2 - Good Version Here

So looking at the different editions, and reading NeoGaf, I still think it is better to buy TTK at 80.

-10 Bucks for Vanilla Destiny
-35 Bucks for expansion 1 & 2
-40 for The Taken King

Right, but in your case you own the base game and 2 xpacs, so you can pay 40 for TTK. My comment was more at the base game for 10 bucks. Better for a player to jump in at the 80 and get all the existing and new content rather then piece meal it together.

If it's at 80, that's a pretty big commitment on what could be arguably still a shallow game. Still though, spend $10 and see if you like what the game has to offer in general and then add on as you'd like more like regular dlc.

My son has a checkpoint at Atheon on hard. The group he started off with was good (showing him how to do stuff etc.)had to leave and they invited a few "friends" that were really kind of jerks. Instead of helping him him they all all wanted to get it done quick and everytime he died or did sometime get wrong he heard about it in a not so nice way.

I told him not to do VOG on hard as his first time but he wants the vex. I think he did well to get that far. I was able to help a bit but had company show up and I wasn't able to log on. Would anyone be interested in helping him finish it tomorrow? He's alittle bummed as he wants to finish it plus you get a checkpoint if you want.

What about a weapon like the black hammer.. Bungie includes that weapon in the weapon tuning post but if legendary will be replaced why nerf the black hammer?

They aren't really nerfing the black hammer, they are just "fixing," or "tuning" the white nail perk... And it's not going to be replaced, just in time you'll find something that will out level the Black Hammer. I think they said the starting quests are at 30, or a couple levels lower so the Black Hammer is still going to be a good weapon to use until you start finding and gathering new loot. It's not like as soon as the taken king gets released everything we have is going to be trash day 1...

They are having their first twitch stream on the 19th where I think they are going to be talking about the new leveling system, the new light system and so forth... Guess we'll find out everything we need to know then.

Completed Skolas for the first time, what an awesome battle. I always feel that getting the mines are pretty hard when you were trying to handle passing around the "curse". Got pushed to the brink a few times, but managed to make it all the way through.

And with that, I was able to complete all my moments of triumph. Maybe for some of the hardcore players that may not seem like much, but wow did it feel good!

I need a fellow carry-man if I'm to bring anybody else to the lighthouse. I know TjRhythmic has been itching to go for a while and hopefully he'll have a better time of getting more wins when my usual PvP buddy comes back from vacation.

Actually went Unbroken in a trials round (15kills,no deaths) but upset I messed up saving the video.

I'm usually on at the same time I was yesterday. So if you're ever doing a Trials run, give me a shout. In turn, I'll help carry you to victory in the Rocket League arena! I'll even score all the goals for both teams like I did yesterday lol.

I agree, very tough to carry 2 people at the same time in ToO.

Managed to carry my buddy last night to 9-0, but I had some help as well. I've never managed to carry 2 at the same time.

If you guys switch to xbox1 I can help .

Comix, if you seem to feel like its hard to round up 6 people for a raid, try using a LFG (looking for game) site. I use desnitylfg.net (not .com) and it works really well. I just put in my gamer tag, and say LFG for [whatever activity]. Whoever is trying to fill out a team will send you an invite and your on your way. Probably takes 5 - 10 minutes or so to fill out a team and start. I've only ran into one bad team, and honestly, its just easy to say "sorry guys, I have to duck out" and just leave if its a terrible group.

Also, the terminology on the site is LFG: looking for game / LFM: looking for more. You'd use LFM if you had a team of say 4 and were trying to get two more, but I found using LFG was the easiest way to go.

EDIT: as an added bonus, you'll find a few good players each game you play and start to fill out a more complete friends list. That way it should become easier to put together smaller teams without the LFG site, such as Trials or a Nightfall.
